You can’t manually choose a country for your Roblox account. Roblox detects account location automatically and updates it over time. To check the location it currently associates with your account, sign in and open Account Settings → Account Info. If you recently moved, allow time for the location to update; Roblox does not specify how long that takes.
How to check your Roblox account location
- Sign in to Roblox.
- Open Account Settings.
- Select Account Info and check the account location shown there.
Roblox Support says, “Your account’s regional location is detected automatically based on device signals including your IP address.” It also says, “Roblox automatically detects and updates your account location.” The system uses general regional location over a period, not precise geolocation. See Roblox’s Account Location guidance.
What to do if you moved to another country
After moving, give Roblox time to detect and update the account location. The support guidance does not give a specific timeframe, so there is no official number of hours or days to wait before it should change.
A VPN may affect location accuracy, but Roblox does not document it as a way to select or set an account country. Its documented method is automatic detection.

Account location, language, and app region are different
Language
Roblox has a separate language preference under Settings → Account Info. Changing the account language does not change the automatically detected account location. See Changing Your Account Language.
Regional app versions
Account location can help determine ads, default settings, and which regional Roblox app to use. Roblox says it will inform users if they should use a different app version. If you need a regional app, check that your Apple App Store or Google Play Store is set to the correct region before downloading it. Some regional app versions may limit access outside their target region; see Roblox’s Account Location guidance.
