Then confirm with the retailer before leaving if the trip depends on getting that item. Nintendo’s retailer directory helps you find sellers, but it is not a live inventory checker for their stores.
1. Identify the exact product
Search using the product’s full name, not just “Nintendo” or “Switch.” Specify the console model, game edition, accessory, replacement part, or merchandise you want. For accessories, note the compatible system and generation so you do not mistake a similar-looking item for the right one.
2. Find a retailer that serves your region
Nintendo’s retailer directory is a starting point for finding sellers. It lists Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, Walmart, Costco, and others, and identifies the Nintendo systems covered. The directory names retailers; it does not show whether a specific product is available at a specific branch.
Choose a retailer with locations or delivery options in your country. Nintendo’s U.S. and Canadian online stores ship only to addresses in their respective countries; shoppers elsewhere should check their local Nintendo site or ask local retailers about availability. 3. Check the intended store’s listing
- Open the retailer’s official website or app and search for the exact product name or model.
- Choose the store you plan to visit. Depending on the retailer, this may require entering a ZIP code, postal code, or location.
- Review the listing’s store-specific status and pickup details. A general product page—or a listing that can be shipped—does not necessarily mean the item is on the shelf at your chosen branch.
- Check whether pickup is available, when it would be ready, and whether the listing requires an order or reservation. Do not assume a pickup time or hold policy that the retailer has not stated.
4. Confirm before making the trip
Availability and pickup information can change. If you are traveling specifically for an item, use the retailer’s current store-specific contact or support channel to verify it before departing. Treat an online stock label as a snapshot, not a guarantee that the item will still be there when you arrive.
This step matters because Nintendo does not provide a central live inventory feed covering the retailers in its directory. The retailer that would sell the item is the place to verify branch-level availability.

What Nintendo’s own channels can—and cannot—tell you
Nintendo Store app
The Nintendo Store app lets users browse and search products, save items to a wish list, and move to Nintendo Store to purchase. Nintendo also describes store and event check-in. Those listed features do not include checking shelf inventory at a physical store, so use the retailer’s own location-specific listing for that.
Nintendo NEW YORK and Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO
Nintendo lists its U.S. retail locations as Nintendo NEW YORK, 10 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY, and Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO, 331 Powell St., San Francisco, CA. Its retail locations page says these stores do not currently offer online or phone orders. Check the page’s current location and event information before visiting; do not rely on phone or online ordering to reserve an item.

Accessories and replacement parts
Nintendo says its New York and San Francisco locations offer accessories for current systems and directs customers seeking other accessories and replacement parts to Nintendo.com/store. That direction does not establish that a particular product is in stock at either a Nintendo location or online.
Nintendo’s online catalogs
Nintendo’s merchandise catalog and exclusives catalog can help you find products and see catalog labels such as “sold out” or “exclusive.” Those labels describe Nintendo’s own catalog, not inventory at an outside retailer or a local store.
