For the GTA+ month offered with some GTA VI pre-orders, eligibility is tied to the platform account that makes the purchase—not simply to whoever plays the game. Rockstar also bases GTA VI code redemption on the region of that platform account. Before buying, check the local store listing, account, code region, and purchase format; bonus terms differ by platform and do not establish that every game entitlement follows the same sharing rules.
Check the account and store before you buy
- Choose the account that should receive the offer. PlayStation’s cited US terms say the GTA+ month can be redeemed only on the account used to pre-order, and once per account. Xbox says the offer is limited to one redemption per Platform Account. These restrictions describe the GTA+ offer; they do not establish the sharing rules for every GTA VI item or edition entitlement. Rockstar Support and the platform’s own offer listing should be checked for the current terms.
- Open the store for that account’s country. Rockstar publishes country-specific availability and says additional countries may be added subject to platform policies, local regulations, and age ratings. An offer visible in another country’s store may not apply to your account. Check the local listing before placing an order. Rockstar’s platform and edition information includes availability guidance.
- Match the code region to the account region. Rockstar says GTA VI code redemption restrictions are based on the region associated with the platform account. Its support information lists country groupings for PlayStation and says Xbox codes are not region-locked. Rockstar recommends buying from a retailer in the country of your platform account to avoid activation problems. Check Rockstar’s current code-region guidance before buying a code from another region.
- Confirm the purchase format qualifies. Rockstar lists the Vintage Vice City Pack with physical and digital pre-orders, but its physical pre-order description does not mention the GTA+ month. The US PlayStation offer terms specify eligible digital Standard or Ultimate purchases. Do not assume a physical or code-in-box purchase qualifies for a subscription offer unless its exact listing says so.
- Read the offer cutoff and redemption instructions. The cited US PlayStation terms set a purchase cutoff of November 20, 2026, and a claim deadline of March 31, 2027. Xbox’s listing says qualifying purchases must be made before November 19, 2026 at 23:59:59, and the GTA+ month must be redeemed within 180 days of pre-order. Confirm the current terms on your own regional store listing, since these dates and terms are not a universal promise for all regions.
What the current PlayStation and Xbox offers say
The following details are from the official listings checked on October 7, 2026. The PlayStation dates and terms below are specifically for the US offer; Xbox terms are those published on its cited product listing. Store availability and offer terms can change, so use your regional listing as the final check.

Rockstar’s edition overview describes digital pre-orders and purchases of either edition before November 20, 2026 as including the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+. Its separate physical pre-order description names the Vintage Vice City Pack but not GTA+. Because the wording differs by format and listing, rely on the exact offer attached to the purchase you intend to make rather than assuming all pre-orders receive the same subscription benefit. Do physical GTA VI pre-orders include a disc?
Rockstar describes the physical Standard Edition as a box containing a digital download code; it says no disc is included. Its physical pre-order listing includes the game code and Vintage Vice City Pack. That description does not, by itself, confirm eligibility for the GTA+ month, so check the retailer and platform offer terms for the specific physical listing.

Can another account redeem or use the bonus?
For the GTA+ month, the cited US PlayStation terms explicitly restrict redemption to the account that pre-ordered and say the subscription is non-transferable. Xbox’s listing limits redemption to one per Platform Account. The official pages reviewed do not explain whether console sharing gives another household account access to GTA+ or to all other GTA VI bonuses. If sharing matters, ask PlayStation or Xbox support about your precise account setup rather than assuming a transfer or shared entitlement.

No such eligibility is established by Rockstar’s account-linking FAQ. That FAQ describes rewards for GTA Online in GTA V, including a one-time GTA$500,000 reward for eligible PlayStation or Xbox account links and certain vehicles or weapons. It is not evidence that linking a Rockstar Games account substitutes for buying GTA VI through the qualifying platform account. Rockstar’s account-linking FAQ covers those GTA Online rewards.
