To check whether a PlayStation Plus game is leaving, look for its end date in the Game Catalog or Classics Catalog on PlayStation’s official games page or your console. Sony says some catalog games have end dates publicized in advance, but its guidance does not promise a set notice period or an individual alert. Check the listing for your region and membership tier, and look again near the date you plan to play.
Where to check for a leaving date
On PS5
- From the Games home screen, select PlayStation Plus.
- Open the Benefits tab and select Game Catalog.
On PS4
- From the function screen, select PlayStation Plus.
- Select Game Catalog.
On the web
Browse Sony’s official PlayStation Plus games page. Catalog listings change as titles enter or leave, so check close to when you expect to play. The live page is the place to verify a specific title; general support guidance does not establish its current departure date.

What Sony says about notice
Sony’s US PlayStation Plus FAQ says: “Some games in the Game Catalogue and Classics Catalogue will have end dates when they leave the service, which will be publicised ahead of time.” The wording does not specify how far in advance a date appears, nor does it promise that every member will receive a personal notification. Check the listing itself rather than relying on a particular alert or notice window. Sony’s FAQ
Make sure you are checking the right kind of game
PlayStation Plus monthly games and rotating catalog games work differently. Sony describes monthly games as games members can download and play while their membership is active, with new games added each calendar month. Some Game Catalog and Classics Catalog titles instead have removal end dates. Adding a monthly game to your library is not the same as claiming continued access to a rotating catalog title. Also verify that your membership includes the catalog where the title appears. Sony’s US guide says Extra includes the Game Catalog, while Premium includes both the Game Catalog and Classics Catalog. Catalog availability varies over time and by plan; listings and eligibility may differ by region, so use the account and regional catalog you actually play with. Sony’s US PlayStation Plus plan guide

- Finish it before the listed end date: If you want to keep playing through your subscription, prioritize the game while it remains available.
- Consider buying it: If the game is sold separately and continued access matters to you, purchasing it is one option.
- Wait: You can choose not to act, accepting that catalog availability can change.
Which option makes sense depends on the title, your plans, whether it is available for purchase, and whether you rely on associated add-ons. Sony says that when a catalog game leaves the service, access to its associated DLC and add-ons is also lost until you resubscribe or purchase the game. If you regain access to the game by resubscribing or buying it, purchased add-ons can be used again. Sony also says DLC and add-ons are not supported while streaming a title.
