A checkmark or badge image in a profile bio or avatar is not proof of verification.
Where to look for Roblox’s Verified Badge
- Open the user’s Roblox profile and check for the blue Verified Badge beside the display name.
- If you see the account elsewhere on Roblox, look for the badge beside its name there too. Roblox says it may appear in search, Marketplace, and on item and experience detail pages.
- Ignore checkmarks or badge-like graphics in the bio, profile image, or other user-added content. Those do not verify the account.
Roblox’s official Verified Badge FAQ says that if a profile lacks the badge beside its display name, a symbol elsewhere on the profile does not make the account verified. Roblox alone awards the badge.
What verification means—and what it does not
Roblox describes the badge as a signal that it confirmed an account belongs to the person or group it represents and that the account meets its notability criteria. It can identify notable and authentic creators, developers, groups, and off-platform figures.
The badge is not an endorsement: verified users remain subject to Roblox’s Community Standards and Terms of Use. Roblox also says that not having a badge does not affect search or recommendations for new or unverified creators.

Checking a profile is different from qualifying for a badge
You do not need to assess follower counts, account age, or an external website to check a user’s status; Roblox’s FAQ does not offer those as verification tests. Use the badge Roblox displays in its own interface.
Roblox says creators do not apply for the badge: qualifying creators are notified automatically, and badges are issued monthly. Its FAQ describes category-specific criteria, including these examples:
