Compare your computer with the Windows, processor, graphics, memory, DirectX, storage, internet and sound requirements on the official Hood Warfare 2 Steam listing. Check the minimum column first, then the recommended column. Meeting the minimum only means your hardware matches the publisher’s stated floor; Steam does not promise a particular frame rate, resolution or graphics preset.
Hood Warfare 2 system requirements at a glance
The official Steam listing checked on 13 October 2026 gives separate minimum and recommended targets. Use the exact model names and capacities shown rather than judging a computer by a brand, product family or generation number alone.

What the two columns tell you
The minimum column is the threshold to compare first. If one required category falls below it, your PC does not meet the published minimum as written. The recommended column is a higher target: it calls for a newer class of processor, more system memory, a stronger listed graphics card and additional free storage.

How to find your PC’s specifications in Windows
Write down each result before comparing it. A complete check needs the exact Windows edition and version, CPU model, installed RAM, GPU model and video memory, DirectX version, free space on the drive where you will install the game, and confirmation that your system has broadband access and DirectX-compatible sound.
1. Check the Windows edition, architecture and version
- Open Settings from the Start menu.
- Choose System, then About.
- Under Windows specifications, record the edition and version. Under Device specifications, record the system type.
The minimum entry requires 64-bit Windows 10 version 1909 or newer. Windows 11 64-bit is the recommended operating system. A 32-bit installation is not the same as the listed 64-bit requirement, even if the computer has otherwise similar hardware.
You can also press Windows key + R, enter winver, and select OK to see the installed Windows release and version. Use the About page to verify whether the installation is 64-bit.

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minute2. Check the processor and system memory
- Right-click the taskbar and open Task Manager. If the compact view appears, select More details.
- Open the Performance tab and select CPU. Record the full processor name shown at the top right.
- Select Memory and record the installed RAM total.
Compare the processor’s complete model name with the two CPU names in the requirements table. The minimum listing identifies six-core versions of the Intel Core i5-9600K and AMD Ryzen 5 3600. The recommended listing names the Intel Core i5-12600K and AMD Ryzen 5 7600.
Do not confuse installed system memory with graphics memory. The Memory panel reports RAM used by Windows and applications; the GPU panel in the next step reports the graphics processor and its video memory. If Task Manager rounds the RAM total slightly below the advertised capacity, use the installed value that Windows reports for the comparison.
3. Check the graphics processor and video memory
- Stay in Task Manager > Performance.
- Select each GPU entry if more than one appears. Record the exact model name and the dedicated GPU memory shown.
The minimum graphics entries are NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 and AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT with 6 GB. The recommended entries are NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 4060 with 8 GB. Check the model suffix and memory amount; a card from the same manufacturer or a similar-looking number is not automatically equivalent.
Laptops can show an integrated GPU and a discrete GPU. Record both, then identify which one games normally use. If only an integrated adapter appears, it is not one of the named graphics options, so the Steam listing alone cannot certify that configuration.
Windows may display shared GPU memory in addition to dedicated memory. Compare the dedicated amount and exact model to the table rather than adding shared memory to make a lower-capacity card appear to meet the requirement.
4. Verify DirectX 12 and sound capability
- Press Windows key + R, type
dxdiag, and select OK. - On the System tab, find the DirectX Version line and record it.
- Open the Sound tab to see the audio device Windows exposes to DirectX.
The listing calls for DirectX 12 in both columns. It also calls for a DirectX-compatible sound card. The diagnostic tool helps you confirm what Windows currently reports; it does not turn an older graphics card into a supported model.

- Chipset: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super
- Boost clock: 1815 MHz
- Memory Interface: 192-Bit

5. Check available storage on the installation drive
- Open File Explorer and select This PC.
- Find the drive on which you intend to install Hood Warfare 2.
- Read the Free space value and compare it with the storage row in the table.
The minimum listing asks for 25 GB available, while the recommended listing asks for 30 GB available. Check free space, not the drive’s total advertised capacity. If the drive is nearly full, leave room for the installation process and normal Windows operation instead of treating the exact threshold as a useful long-term buffer.
6. Confirm the network requirement
The Steam listing specifies a broadband internet connection for both requirement levels. It does not state a required download speed, upload speed, latency figure or connection type. Confirm that the PC can use your broadband service reliably; do not convert the listing into an invented speed target.

Compare your results with the listing
Once you have recorded the details, classify the result by the weakest required category. A computer that exceeds the graphics requirement but fails the operating-system requirement is not a full match.
| Your result | What it means | What you can conclude |
|---|---|---|
| Every category reaches or exceeds the recommended entry | The recorded system matches the publisher’s recommended targets | It is the closest match to the listing’s higher specification, but no frame-rate or image-quality outcome is promised |
| Every category reaches the minimum entry, but one or more categories are below recommended | The system matches the published minimum | The listing supports the minimum specification; it does not state what settings or frame rate this combination will deliver |
| At least one category is below minimum | The system does not meet the published minimum as written | Steam’s requirements do not establish that the game will run acceptably on that configuration |
| Your model is different from every model named | The listing does not provide a direct equivalency for it | You cannot certify a match from the Steam requirements alone |
How to answer “Can my PC run Hood Warfare 2?”
If your PC meets the recommended column
Record it as meeting the recommended specification only when the operating system, processor, RAM, GPU, DirectX, storage, network and sound checks all align with that column. A stronger component cannot compensate for a missing requirement in another category. Even a complete recommended match is not a measured performance guarantee because the listing supplies no per-PC test results.
If your PC meets only the minimum column
That means the listed floor is met, not that a particular preset or frame rate is assured. The minimum check is still useful: it identifies whether your configuration matches the publisher’s stated baseline. Keep the exact component list available if you later troubleshoot, because the listing does not say which individual part limits performance first.
If one part is below minimum
Classify the PC as below the published minimum rather than rounding up because the other parts are newer. For example, a computer with sufficient RAM and storage but a graphics card below the named minimum GPU entry does not satisfy the complete minimum specification as written.
Recommended Free Tools
If your part is not listed
Do not infer equivalence from a brand name, a product number or a similar-looking specification. The Steam page names specific Intel, AMD and NVIDIA models but gives no comparison chart for other CPUs or GPUs. You can record the unlisted model and compare its full specifications separately, but that becomes an independent judgment rather than a direct reading of the published requirement.
Common checking mistakes
- Checking only the GPU. Windows version, CPU, RAM, DirectX, storage, network and sound are also part of the listing.
- Using total disk capacity. The relevant figure is free space on the drive selected for installation.
- Mixing up RAM and VRAM. System memory and graphics memory are reported in different Task Manager panels and satisfy different rows.
- Ignoring 64-bit Windows. The minimum operating-system entry specifies both a Windows release and 64-bit architecture.
- Comparing families instead of exact models. A GTX, RTX, Radeon, Core or Ryzen label by itself does not establish equivalence.
- Treating recommended as a benchmark. Recommended hardware is a target in the store listing, not a promise of a specific frame rate or resolution.
- Assuming a close match is a tested match. The requirements were not accompanied by hands-on compatibility testing or measured results for every possible configuration.
What to do if your PC falls short
When the graphics card is the mismatch
First confirm the exact GPU model and dedicated memory in Task Manager. If it is below the listed minimum, a graphics-card upgrade is only a conditional option. Compare the complete computer, check whether the card is physically and electrically compatible with it, and decide whether the change is appropriate for your system. Replacing a GPU does not fix a separate operating-system, CPU, RAM, DirectX, storage or sound mismatch.
If you shop for an upgrade, use a precise description such as NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 graphics card only as a reference to the named minimum, not as an automatic buying recommendation. Check the motherboard slot, power supply, case clearance and the rest of the system before purchasing. No price, stock status or affiliate availability is established by the Steam requirement itself.

You can download the driver for this graphics card directly from the official website. Select the driver corresponding to your computer's operating system for download and installation. Alternatively, you can use software that automatically installs drivers for the installation process.
When memory or storage is the mismatch
Verify the installed RAM total and free drive space again before spending money. A memory figure that reaches the minimum but not the recommended level should be recorded as a minimum match, not silently upgraded in your notes. Storage is a capacity check: free the required space on the intended drive or choose another suitable drive, then recheck the available amount.
When Windows or DirectX is the mismatch
Confirm the version and architecture with the Windows and DirectX checks above. If the installation is outside the operating-system entry or the diagnostic tool reports an older DirectX version, the official listing does not provide a supported-minimum claim for that setup. Do not treat a CPU or GPU upgrade as a substitute for an operating-system requirement.
Questions about borderline systems
Does a faster CPU make up for a weaker GPU?
No conclusion like that follows from the Steam table. Each category is listed separately, so a processor that exceeds the recommended model does not erase a graphics card below the minimum entry. Classify the system by every required row and mark it unverified when a key model is not named.
Is 8 GB of RAM enough?
Eight gigabytes is the stated minimum. Sixteen gigabytes is the stated recommended amount. The listing does not describe expected background-app usage, stuttering, frame rate or upgrade results, so do not translate either number into a guaranteed experience.
Is 25 GB enough for installation?
Twenty-five gigabytes is the listed minimum available space, while 30 GB is the recommended figure. Measure free space on the selected installation drive. A drive with exactly the threshold may become too full for updates or normal Windows use, so keeping additional room is sensible, but Steam does not publish a larger mandatory buffer here.
Can an integrated graphics chip qualify?
The named minimum choices are a GTX 1660 or RX 5600 XT 6 GB. If your computer reports only integrated graphics, that model is not one of the listed choices. The store page supplies no equivalency chart, so the configuration cannot be certified from the listing alone.
Do I need Windows 11?
No. Windows 10 64-bit version 1909 or newer is the minimum entry. Windows 11 64-bit appears in the recommended column. A 32-bit Windows installation does not meet the minimum wording.
Does broadband mean a specific speed?
No speed, latency, upload or download number is given. The requirement simply says broadband internet connection for both levels. Avoid treating an arbitrary speed test as an official pass or fail threshold.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to record and share your result
Create a short checklist with the date, Windows edition and version, CPU name, RAM total, GPU name and dedicated memory, DirectX version, free space and sound device. Mark each row as minimum, recommended or unverified. This makes it easier to explain a problem to support or to compare a proposed upgrade without forgetting an operating-system or storage requirement.

When asking another person whether the game will run, include the full model names rather than just “Intel,” “AMD,” “NVIDIA,” “Core i5” or “RTX.” Also say whether the GPU value is dedicated or shared memory. A partial specification invites a guess, while the official table requires a category-by-category comparison.
A final pre-install checklist
- Windows is 64-bit and meets the listed edition and version requirement.
- The exact CPU model has been recorded and compared with the appropriate column.
- Installed RAM has been checked separately from GPU memory.
- The exact GPU model and dedicated memory have been recorded.
- DirectX 12 appears in the diagnostic information.
- The target drive has the required free space for the chosen requirement level.
- The PC has broadband internet access.
- The sound device is compatible with DirectX.
- Any unlisted CPU or GPU has been treated as unverified rather than assumed equivalent.
This process gives you a defensible answer based on the current Steam listing checked 13 October 2026: your PC either matches the named minimum, matches the named recommended targets, falls below a published category, or cannot be directly classified because a key model is unlisted. Only the first two are matches to the stated specifications, and neither one guarantees a particular in-game result.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the minimum requirements for Hood Warfare 2?
The Steam listing specifies Windows 10 64-bit version 1909 or newer, an Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 six-core processor, 8 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 1660 or Radeon RX 5600 XT 6 GB, DirectX 12, broadband internet, 25 GB available storage and a DirectX-compatible sound card.
What are the recommended requirements?
The recommended column lists Windows 11 64-bit, an Intel Core i5-12600K or AMD Ryzen 5 7600, 16 GB RAM, a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or RTX 4060 8 GB, DirectX 12, broadband internet, 30 GB available storage and a DirectX-compatible sound card.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesHow do I find my PC specs?
Use Settings > System > About for Windows details, Task Manager’s Performance tab for the CPU, RAM and GPU, dxdiag for DirectX and sound information, and File Explorer > This PC for free storage.
Does meeting the minimum guarantee smooth performance?
No. It only means the recorded configuration matches the publisher’s stated minimum. The Steam listing does not promise a frame rate, resolution, graphics preset or result for an individual PC.
Should I buy a GTX 1660 if my PC is below the requirement?
Only after checking the complete system. The GTX 1660 is a named minimum GPU, not a universal upgrade recommendation. Confirm case clearance, power supply, motherboard compatibility and any separate CPU, Windows, RAM, DirectX, storage or sound limitation.
What if my CPU or GPU is not listed?
Treat it as unverified against the Steam table. The listing provides no equivalency chart for other models, so a direct match cannot be certified from the published requirements alone.
The Bottom Line
Check every row of the Steam listing, not just the graphics card. Windows 10 64-bit version 1909, 8 GB RAM, the named minimum CPU and GPU, DirectX 12, 25 GB free space, broadband and compatible sound are the minimum checks; Windows 11, 16 GB RAM, the recommended CPUs and GPUs and 30 GB free space are the higher targets. Either match is only a specification comparison, not a performance guarantee.
