Where the departure list is on each console
The Last chance to play section is the practical answer to “Which PlayStation Plus games are leaving the catalog?” It is designed to show catalog titles approaching removal, rather than requiring you to compare old blog posts or make your own list.

2. Open Collections
Choose Collections. This is the area Sony identifies for browsing groups of PlayStation Plus games and the departure list.
3. Select Last chance to play
Open Last chance to play. The displayed titles are the games Sony is flagging as approaching removal from the catalog. Select a game to inspect its store or catalog page and read the date shown there.
4. Verify the date and account
Use the date displayed in the live listing as the operative deadline for your account and region. Do not substitute a date from a screenshot, forum post or an older monthly announcement. Catalog availability is time-sensitive and can vary by plan and country.
If the section is not visible
Use the general route documented by Sony: Games home screen > PlayStation Plus > Benefits > Game Catalog. Search within the PlayStation Plus hub for “Last chance to play” or browse the catalog categories. A system update may move a tile without changing the underlying catalog service.
Check departing games on PS4
1. Open the function screen
From the PS4 home screen, press the controller’s function-button command to open the function screen, then select PlayStation Plus.
2. Enter Games and Game Catalog
Choose Games, then Game Catalog. Sony’s Blog instructions place the Last chance to play list within this area.
3. Open Last chance to play
Select Last chance to play and review the games shown. Open an individual title to check the departure date presented for that listing.

If your PS4 does not show the departure tile immediately, use Sony’s general route: PlayStation Plus > Game Catalog. Then look through the current catalog interface for the departure section.
Sony’s Blog describes the two-console method this way: “You can always check the ‘Last chance to play’ section on the PlayStation Plus -> Collections page on the PS5 console, or PlayStation Plus -> Games -> Games Catalog on the PS4 console for titles you might want to play before they leave the service.” The example in that post is from May 2024; its navigation guidance is useful, but its listed games and dates are historical.

PS5 and PS4 routes at a glance
Both consoles expose the same idea but place it in different menus. On PS5, start at Collections; on PS4, start at Games and then Game Catalog. If you are helping another player over the phone, identify the console first so you do not give the PS5 route to a PS4 owner.
The general catalog route is useful when the dedicated tile is temporarily hard to find. It is also the right place to confirm that a title is still part of the broader catalog. The departure section is a filtered view of titles Sony has placed in its removal window, not a replacement for the complete catalog.
What the displayed date tells you
Open the individual game from Last chance to play instead of relying only on the thumbnail. Read the service-end or departure date on the current title page, then compare it with the time you realistically need. Include downloading, updates, installation and save-management time in your plan.
The date is tied to the listing shown to your account. Sony says catalog availability varies over time, by plan and by country or region, so a date copied from another player’s screen may not apply to you. If the date on a current console listing differs from an older announcement, use the current listing.
A title can remain visible in the general catalog while it has not yet been placed in the departure window. Conversely, a title in Last chance to play should be treated as approaching removal even if its ordinary catalog tile is still easy to find. Visibility elsewhere does not cancel the departure notice.
What “leaving the catalog” means
PlayStation Plus has more than one game benefit, and a departure notice does not apply to all of them in the same way. Sony describes Game Catalog and Classics Catalog titles as games available through the subscription catalog; some of those titles have an end date and are removed from the service.
That is different from the monthly-games benefit. Monthly games are offered as a separate PlayStation Plus benefit. A game shown in Last chance to play is a catalog title approaching a service end date, not automatically a monthly game you previously added to your library.
Sony’s US games page says monthly games remain playable while the membership is active, while catalog access is tied to the corresponding plan and some catalog games have service end dates. For the current benefit descriptions, see Sony’s PlayStation Plus games catalog and membership page.
Catalog title versus monthly title
A catalog title is available because it is currently included in the Game Catalog or Classics Catalog covered by your plan. A monthly game is a separate monthly benefit that you add to your library during its offer period. Therefore, seeing a game in Last chance to play is not a notice that every copy of that game claimed as a monthly game will be treated identically.

When explaining the issue, use “leaving the catalog” for the titles in the departure section. That wording avoids suggesting that the same removal notice applies to every PlayStation Plus game a member has ever claimed.

If you cannot open the catalog or a listed title will not launch, first check the plan attached to the account. Sony says:
- Extra includes access to the Game Catalog.
- Premium includes the Game Catalog and the Classics Catalog.
The Last chance to play tile is therefore most relevant to members whose plan includes the catalog containing that game. A lower or different plan may not provide access even if another account on the console can see the listing.
Confirm that you are signed into the account with the PlayStation Plus membership. On a console shared by several users, compare the account and plan being used when a title appears for one player but not another. Do not assume that seeing a store tile proves that the signed-in account has the required catalog benefit.
Why the list can differ from another player’s list
Country and region
Sony states that catalog availability varies by country or region. The US games page directs players to the PlayStation Plus hub on their console for the complete list available in their own country or region. A title, date or catalog category shown in another market is not evidence that the same item is available on your account.
Recommended Free Tools
Membership plan
Game Catalog and Classics Catalog access are not identical benefits. A Premium member may see Classics Catalog titles that an Extra member cannot access, while an Extra member still has Game Catalog access.
Timing
The catalog changes over time. A game can appear in an announcement and later disappear, or a date can be revised in the live service listing. Treat the console’s current title page and date as the authoritative check for your account.
Console software and interface changes
PS5 and PS4 menu labels are not guaranteed to remain identical after software changes. If the exact path above does not match your screen, enter the PlayStation Plus hub, open the catalog area and look for the words Last chance to play. Do not infer that a title has been removed merely because a tile moved.
How to check a title before you start it
- Open Last chance to play using the route for your console.
- Find the game you intend to play and open its listing.
- Read the service-end or departure date shown in the current listing.
- Compare that date with the amount of time you realistically need, including downloads, updates and save-management time.
- Start with the departing title rather than assuming it will remain because it is still visible elsewhere in the catalog.
For a long game, check again before committing to a new playthrough. The catalog is a changing service, and a title can move into the departure window after your first check. The section is a planning aid, not a promise that every game in the broader catalog will display a notice at the same time.

Do not use an old announcement as today’s list
PlayStation Blog catalog announcements are useful for explaining how Sony labels and organizes the service, but they are snapshots. For example, the May 15, 2024 post names games and dates associated with that month’s update. Those examples should not be republished as the current departure lineup.
When checking a game today, use this order of authority:
- The live Last chance to play listing on your own console.
- The date on the individual catalog or store page linked from that listing.
- Sony’s current PlayStation Plus catalog information for your country or region.
- Older blog announcements only for historical context or navigation help.
This order avoids a common mistake: treating a dated announcement as if it were a continuously updated schedule. A search result, social-media post or screenshot can help you find the hub, but it should not replace the live listing.

The catalog is unavailable
Check the subscription tier and signed-in account first. Extra includes the Game Catalog, while Premium includes the Game Catalog and Classics Catalog. If the account does not have the relevant benefit, the catalog or title may not be available to it.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe Last chance to play tile moved
Open the PlayStation Plus hub and enter the general catalog route for your console. On PS5, use Games home screen > PlayStation Plus > Benefits > Game Catalog. On PS4, use PlayStation Plus > Game Catalog. Browse or search for the departure section from there.
A friend sees a different title
Compare country or region, membership tier and the date each person checked. Sony explicitly says availability varies over time and by plan, and the complete regional list is shown in the on-console hub.
The date in a post does not match the console
Follow the live console listing. Blog posts can be months or years old, and the May 2024 navigation article is not a current schedule. Record the date shown for your account rather than relying on a third-party list.
A game appears in the catalog but not in Last chance to play
That does not by itself establish a departure. The departure section highlights titles Sony has placed in its removal window; the general catalog contains the wider set of available games. Check the individual listing and return to Last chance to play later if you are planning a longer playthrough.
The menu names do not match exactly
Do not stop at a missing word-for-word label. Start from the PlayStation Plus hub, open the catalog or collections area and look for a tile labeled Last chance to play. Sony’s support route is a reliable fallback for reaching the catalog, while the Blog route explains where the departure grouping has been placed.

- Compatible with Wide Screens - To ensure compatibility with the dual monitor mount, your each monitor must meet three conditions at the same time: First, computer screens size range: 13 to 32 inches. Second, screen weight range: 4.4 to 19.8 lbs. Third, the back of the monitor screen must have VESA mounting holes with a pitch of 75x75mm or 100x100mm.
- Regarding the compatibility with desks - Your desk must meet three conditions at the same time: First, desk material: Only wooden desks are recommended, plastic or glass desks cannot be used. Second, desk thickness range: 0.59" - 3.54". Third, the bottom of the desk should not have any cross beams or panels, as this will interfere with installation. We recommend carefully checking that your desk and monitors meets all above conditions before purchasing.

Built-in cable management guides wires along the arms, keeping cords out of sight and out of the way. Enjoy a tidy, modern workstation that looks as good as it feels to use.
A simple monitoring routine
For occasional play, check the section whenever you choose a new catalog game. For a large game or a group playthrough, check at the start of the session and again when you are close to the displayed date. Save the title and date in your own notes if you need to coordinate with friends, but recheck the console before making a final plan.
If you use both a PS5 and PS4, check the console on which you intend to play. The route differs by system, and the account, plan and regional listing in use are the details that matter.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Checking only Monthly Games: monthly offers and catalog departures are separate benefits.
- Using a fixed web list: catalog lineups are volatile and regional.
- Assuming every visible title is safe: a title can remain in the general catalog while appearing in Last chance to play.
- Ignoring the membership tier: Extra and Premium do not provide identical catalog access.
- Confusing a moved tile with removal: interface labels can change after software updates.
- Copying another player’s date: confirm the date on your own account and console.
- Starting a long game without checking: allow time for downloads, updates and saves before the service-end date.
A quick checklist
- Use Last chance to play, not a generic search result, to find approaching catalog removals.
- Follow the PS5 or PS4 route for your console.
- Open the individual title and read the date shown there.
- Verify that your account has Extra or Premium access appropriate to the catalog.
- Check the live listing in your own country or region.
- Separate catalog departures from monthly games.
- Ignore historical game lists when deciding what is leaving now.
