Which Switch 2 graphics setting should you choose?
The right choice depends on how you play and which priority matters more to you. The Switch 2 version is scheduled to launch on December 4, 2026, so these recommendations are based on reported specifications ahead of release, not hands-on testing of a shipping build. Capcom announced the release date.
Choose Prioritize Resolution for TV play if you want the higher output target
Capcom’s specifications, reproduced in a September 18, 2026 report, list this TV mode at 2240 × 1260 and 30 fps. Select it if the higher listed output-resolution target is your priority.
Choose Prioritize Framerate for TV play if you prefer that performance priority
This preset is listed at 1920 × 1080 and 30 fps. Its name indicates a framerate priority, but the published target is still 30 fps—the same as Prioritize Resolution. Choose it for the performance-priority preset, not because a higher frame-rate target has been specified.

Use the reported handheld mode for handheld play
The reported handheld setting is 1536 × 864 at 30 fps. The published comparison identifies no second handheld graphics preset.

What the resolution and frame-rate figures do—and do not—mean
Capcom’s cited caveats say rendering resolution changes with system load; if it falls below the output resolution, upscaling is applied. Capcom also warns that frame rate may drop in some high-load situations. In practice, treat the listed resolution and 30 fps as specifications or targets, not proof of a fixed native resolution or perfectly steady frame rate.
Can you adjust individual graphics options?
The available Switch 2 mode information documents the priorities above, but does not establish that players can adjust individual options such as textures, shadows, anti-aliasing, motion blur, or effects. Capcom’s store page lists PC requirements; those PC details are not evidence of Switch 2 settings. No Switch 2 menu path or individual toggle is confirmed here.

What is known about the Switch 2 version so far?
Nintendo UK lists the game for Switch 2 and identifies TV, tabletop, and handheld play. Producer Genki Sunano described the porting work in an interview reported by Nintendo Life on October 2, 2026: “It was this painstaking, and at times seemingly endless, process of making decisions and optimizations one by one that proved to be one of our biggest challenges in delivering a comfortable handheld experience while preserving what makes Wilds feel like Wilds.” That comment offers context about development effort; it is not a measured performance result.
