Choose by the recipient’s favorite Zelda game or scene first: the Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 (77092) suits fans of the tree and either Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild, while Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle (77093) is for someone who wants that game’s climactic battle. Then weigh the display piece and the listed US prices: 77092 has 2,500 pieces and was listed at $299.99; 77093 has 1,003 pieces and was listed at $129.99. Both are listed for ages 18+.
Start with the recipient’s Zelda connection
These two sets offer different reasons to give a Zelda fan a LEGO build. The Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 (77092) centers on a character and setting associated with both Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild. It is the better match if the recipient loves the Great Deku Tree, enjoys either game, or would appreciate a larger display centerpiece.

Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle (77093) recreates a specific moment: the confrontation at the end of Ocarina of Time. Its ruined-castle scene and cast of characters make it the more focused choice for someone who is especially fond of that game’s finale.

If you do not know which game the recipient prefers, the tree set covers two game versions of one recognizable character, while the battle set makes a more specific bet on Ocarina of Time. A quick question about their favorite game or scene can settle the choice more reliably than guessing from “Zelda fan” alone.

When the Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 is the better gift
Choose it for a tree or cross-game favorite
The defining advantage of 77092 is its subject: the Great Deku Tree, represented in two versions tied to Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild. It gives you a strong option when the recipient likes the character but you are unsure which of those two game interpretations they prefer.

- Build this LEGO set
Know what “2-in-1” means
The set is a rebuild, not two complete tree models in one box. The recipient can assemble one version and later take it apart to build the other; both versions cannot be displayed simultaneously. If the recipient would rather keep both designs built at once, this set’s alternate-build format may not fit that preference.

Consider the larger commitment
At 2,500 pieces and a listed US price of $299.99, 77092 is the more substantial purchase and build of the two options here. It makes sense when the recipient wants a prominent centerpiece and the budget supports it. LEGO’s US page showed the set as sold out when checked, so confirm the price and stock with a seller before planning around that listed price. The LEGO page does not establish another retailer’s inventory or price.

When Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle is the better gift
Choose it for the finale and its cast
Set 77093 is built around the final-battle scene rather than a character shown in two game versions. The box includes Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf minifigures, as well as a brick-built Ganon and a Navi build. That combination makes it a natural fit for a recipient who especially enjoys the characters and climax of Ocarina of Time.
Look for the scene’s interactive details
The ruined-castle setting has interactive and hidden details, including removable debris panels and hidden Recovery Hearts. LEGO Design Manager Wes Talbot described the game inspiration: “In the game, if you were running low on health, you could lure Ganon to some chunks of rubble and he would break them with his swords, causing Recovery Hearts to appear.” The detail connects the build to a specific gameplay moment, rather than serving only as decoration.

Use it for a lower listed price point
LEGO’s US listing showed 77093 at $129.99 when checked, compared with $299.99 for 77092. The battle set also has 1,003 pieces, compared with 2,500 for the tree set. Those figures make it the lower-priced, smaller build on the listed comparison; they do not establish how long either recipient will take to build or how difficult they will find it.
A practical gift decision
- Identify the favorite. If the recipient talks about the Great Deku Tree or likes both of its game versions, lean toward 77092. If they love the final battle in Ocarina of Time, lean toward 77093.
- Decide what they would display. Pick the tree set for a larger centerpiece that can change between two builds. Pick the battle set for a focused ruined-castle scene with the finale’s cast.
- Set the budget using the listing, not an assumption. The US prices reported here are LEGO listing prices and can change. Check the product page or seller at purchase time, especially for 77092, whose LEGO US page showed sold out when checked.
- Check the age label and build format. Both LEGO pages list 18+. For 77092, make sure the recipient will enjoy rebuilding to change the display, since the two tree versions cannot be built together.
- Match the exact set number before buying. Use 77092 for the Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 and 77093 for Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle. This avoids confusing the two distinct models when searching listings.
What the official details do—and do not—tell you
The published product details support a comparison of themes, listed piece counts, included characters, age labels, and the US prices shown when checked. They do not tell you which set a particular person will prefer, how long the build takes, or whether another shop has stock at the same price. The gift decision still turns on the recipient’s game attachment and what kind of display they want.
LEGO’s interview with Design Manager Wes Talbot also explains why Ganondorf appears in 77093: “We had already created Link and Zelda in the Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set, but it seemed a real shame not to also have a Ganondorf minifigure to complete the cast of main characters.” That makes the character lineup a useful distinction when the recipient cares about the battle’s central cast.
