A Stage 6 part must belong to the exact car model and can be installed only after that component reaches Stage 5. Fusion Parts increase Evo Points rather than Performance Potential (PP), and removing a fitted fusion part costs the amount shown in the upgrade screen. Use those three rules to avoid wasting rare parts and resources.
This guide explains how to plan a build for an event, campaign requirement, showdown or regular racing, how to read PP and Evo together, where parts may come from, and what to check when an upgrade appears not to work.

Start with the car’s job
There is no officially supported universal “best” Stage 6 part or car. The useful choice depends on what the car must do: meet an event requirement, complete a campaign race, compete in a showdown, or run consistently in ordinary races. Official CSR2 support documents explain the upgrade mechanics, but they do not publish a per-car ranking or a table showing which part wins every event.
Recommended Free Tools
Write down the immediate goal before spending a rare part. An event may require a specific model; a campaign may reward a reliable setup rather than the highest displayed rating; and a showdown can make your current tune more important than a theoretical maximum. Your goal determines which compatible component deserves scarce inventory.

A practical goal checklist
- Identify the exact car model and the event, campaign, showdown or race type.
- Note which components are already at Stage 5 and which still need earlier upgrades.
- List the Stage 6 and Fusion Parts actually in your inventory instead of planning around a part you might receive later.
- Record the current PP, Evo and tune values before changing anything.
Understand Stage 6 before fitting it
Stage 6 is a car-specific upgrade. A Stage 6 component for one model cannot be fitted to another model, even when both cars are from the same marque. The component must first be upgraded through Stage 5; CSR2 uses a sequential progression rather than allowing a direct jump from a lower stage.
Zynga describes Stage 6 as an ultra-rare upgrade more powerful than Stage 5. You can inspect owned Stage 6 parts in the garage’s information and inventory screens. The part’s rarity does not override compatibility: a valuable component that belongs to a different model remains unusable on your current car.
Compatibility procedure
- Open the intended car in your garage.
- Open the upgrade area and identify the component you want to improve.
- Confirm that the component has reached Stage 5. If it has not, install the earlier stages in sequence first.
- Check the Stage 6 inventory entry against the exact model, not merely the manufacturer or body style.
- Only then select the Stage 6 upgrade and review the displayed result before confirming.
The official explanation is available in Zynga’s “How do I use Stage 6 parts?” support answer. It covers the Stage 5 prerequisite, model-specific fit and inventory location.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsSeparate Stage 6 upgrades from Fusion Parts
These systems solve different problems. Stage 6 is the next upgrade stage for a particular car component and follows the Stage 5 sequence. A Fusion Part is an additional item placed in a compatible fusion slot on a component. A Stage 6 item is therefore not an ordinary interchangeable fusion, and a fusion part is not a substitute for the required Stage 5 upgrade.
Plan the two layers separately. First make sure the component can legally accept the Stage 6 upgrade. Then inspect the component’s fusion slots and decide whether using a scarce Fusion Part supports the car’s current job. A car can be correctly upgraded to Stage 5 yet still be unable to accept a Stage 6 item because the item belongs to another model. Conversely, a compatible fusion may occupy a slot even when the component is not yet ready for Stage 6.
CSR2’s Elite Tuners announcement provides historical context for additional fusion slots. It shows that the game has expanded the ways cars can hold Fusion Parts, but it does not establish a universal current slot count or a single unlock rule for every car. Check the slots shown on the exact car in your current version rather than assuming that another model has the same capacity.
Read PP and Evo as separate measures
Adding a Fusion Part does not necessarily raise the PP number. Zynga’s support explanation states: “Fusion Parts give you Evo Points, not Performance Potential. Evo Points can be seen to the right of your car’s rating. Evo points are similar to PP, but they show how much extra performance you’ve gained from Fusion Parts and tuning.”

In practice, PP and Evo answer different questions. PP represents the car’s performance-potential rating, while Evo reflects extra performance obtained from Fusion Parts and tuning. A fusion installation can therefore improve the car without changing the PP figure you were watching.
What to check after an installation
- Look at the Evo value to the right of the car’s rating, not only the PP number.
- Check that the Fusion Part appears in the intended component’s fitted slots.
- Review tuning values after the change, because tuning contributes to Evo.
- Compare the before-and-after values you recorded; do not infer a missing upgrade solely from an unchanged PP.
For the full wording and interface context, see the official Fusion Parts and Performance Potential answer.
Choose Fusion Parts without wasting inventory
Fusion Parts are fitted to upgrade slots and provide Evo Points. Because removal has a cost, treat every installation as a resource decision rather than a free experiment. The best part is the compatible one that supports the car’s current job and can be recovered if your plan changes.
Use this decision order
- Confirm the car. Make sure the part is intended for the exact model you are building.
- Confirm the slot. Check the component and available fusion slot in the upgrade screen.
- Check the goal. Prefer a fit that supports the event or race requirement you identified, rather than chasing a generic rating.
- Inspect the expected display. Plan to evaluate Evo, PP and tuning separately after fitting.
- Check recovery cost. Select the fitted fusion part to see the current removal amount before committing.
Do not describe one Fusion Part as universally best when the official material provides no per-car performance table. For a defensible comparison, use the evidence available on your own car: exact compatibility, the required Stage 5 level, whether the part is in inventory, the PP and Evo values shown after fitting, and the removal amount displayed by the game.
Budget scarce parts and removal charges
Do not spend a rare component merely because a slot is empty. An empty slot may be useful later for a more relevant event, while a fitted part can require a charge to recover. Before confirming, ask whether the car will remain in this role, whether the part is difficult for you to replace, and whether the displayed Evo gain helps the immediate objective.
The game does not publish one universal removal price in the cited support answer. The amount shown in your removal prompt is the authoritative cost for that action. Treat it as a variable resource requirement, record it if you are comparing several builds, and avoid promising a fixed cash or currency figure to another player.

- Open the garage and select the exact car for which the part was obtained.
- Enter the upgrade screen and choose the matching component.
- Raise that component to Stage 5 if it is not already there, completing the stages in order.
- Open the Stage 6 inventory entry and verify the model match once more.
- Install the part and let the game update the car’s displayed values.
- Check both PP and Evo, then review tuning before entering the race for which you built the car.
If the Stage 6 item is absent, inspect the garage information and inventory screens rather than assuming it was lost. If the component is at Stage 4 or lower, the missing prerequisite is the likely reason it cannot be installed.

Fitting and checking
- Open the chosen car’s upgrade screen.
- Select the component with the available fusion slot.
- Choose a compatible Fusion Part from inventory and review the confirmation screen.
- After fitting, inspect the Evo value beside the car’s rating and confirm that the part appears in the slot.
- Recheck tuning and the race objective before spending additional parts.
Removing a fitted part
CSR2 allows a fitted Fusion Part to be removed. In the upgrade screen, tap the fitted fusion part and review the removal prompt. The game shows the cost for returning that part to inventory; the official support answer does not publish a universal amount, so do not rely on a fixed number.
- Open the car and component containing the fitted fusion.
- Tap the fitted Fusion Part.
- Read the displayed removal cost.
- Confirm only if recovering the part is worth that cost for your next build.
- Verify that the part has returned to inventory before fitting it elsewhere.
See the official “Can I remove a Fusion Part?” support answer for this process.
Where Stage 6 and other parts may come from
Official support lists several possible acquisition routes. These are opportunities, not guarantees of a particular component or drop rate.
| Route | What the official guidance establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Rare Imports crates | Crates can provide car parts, and the Stage 6 FAQ lists Rare Imports as a source. | No current odds or guaranteed component are published in the cited guidance. |
| Multiplayer | The upgrade overview lists multiplayer among routes for car parts. | It does not promise a specific Stage 6 part. |
| Challenges | Some challenges can provide car parts. | Availability and rewards can vary by challenge. |
| Events | The Stage 6 FAQ lists some events as possible sources. | Not every event awards Stage 6, and no universal reward schedule is given. |
| Stripping cars | The Stage 6 FAQ lists stripping cars as another possible source. | The cited page does not state a guaranteed model-specific result. |
For the general upgrade overview, consult CSR2’s official Upgrades and Tuning section. The model-specific Stage 6 details are in the Stage 6 FAQ.
Because the pages list routes rather than current probability tables, do not calculate a guaranteed number of crates, races or stripped cars needed for a particular component. Check the reward description available in your game, and stop when the resource expense no longer fits the car’s purpose.
Diagnose the common “nothing changed” problems
The Stage 6 part will not install
- Wrong model: compare the inventory entry with the exact car, including model designation.
- Stage 5 missing: upgrade the same component through Stage 5 first.
- Wrong component: a Stage 6 part belongs to a particular component, not just to the car generally.
- Inventory confusion: check the garage’s information and inventory screens for the owned part.
PP did not increase after adding a fusion
This is normally a display misunderstanding, not proof that the installation failed. Fusion Parts provide Evo Points, while PP can remain unchanged. Check the Evo value beside the rating and verify the fitted slot.

The part is fitted, but you want to move it
Tap the fitted fusion in the upgrade screen and read the displayed removal cost. Removal is possible, but the amount varies by the prompt shown in your game. If the cost is not worthwhile, leave the part in place and reserve future parts for the next build.
You cannot find a desired part through an acquisition route
The listed routes are chances rather than promises. Rare Imports, multiplayer, challenges, events and stripping may produce parts, but the cited official pages do not provide current drop rates or guarantee a specific component. Continue only when the resource cost fits your goal; do not treat an unsuccessful attempt as evidence that the car is incompatible.
The displayed result seems inconsistent
Return to the baseline you recorded before making changes. Confirm that the intended slot is occupied, then read PP, Evo and tuning independently. A fusion can leave PP unchanged while Evo reflects the added performance. If a Stage 6 item still appears unavailable, recheck both the exact model and the Stage 5 status of that same component before looking for a different explanation.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Build planning for different race goals
Event or campaign requirement
Start with the required model and any stated restriction. Reserve model-specific Stage 6 parts for that car, then complete the Stage 5 prerequisite on the component you intend to use. Add Fusion Parts after confirming the slot and use Evo, not PP alone, to judge the result.
Showdown preparation
Use the car that meets the format and that you can actually supply with compatible parts. Compare the displayed PP, Evo and tune values after each change. Because no official universal ranking is supplied, your own car’s before-and-after readings are more relevant than a generic claim about a “best” part.
Regular racing
Protect scarce inventory by fitting only parts that support the car you routinely race. If you may repurpose the car later, check the removal amount before installing a fusion and keep a record of which slots are occupied.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use a Stage 6 part in CSR2?
Select the exact car and matching component, bring that component to Stage 5 in sequence, then choose the compatible Stage 6 item from the garage inventory. A Stage 6 part for another model cannot be fitted.
Why did my PP stay the same after adding a Fusion Part?
Fusion Parts give Evo Points rather than Performance Potential. Check the Evo value beside the car rating, confirm the part occupies the intended slot, and review tuning.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Can I remove a fitted Fusion Part?
Yes. Tap the fitted fusion in the upgrade screen and read the displayed removal charge before confirming. The part is returned to inventory; the support answer does not specify one fixed price.
Where can Stage 6 and other car parts come from?
Official support lists Rare Imports, multiplayer, some challenges, some events and stripping cars as possible routes. These routes do not guarantee a particular model or publish universal current drop rates.
Are Stage 6 parts interchangeable between cars from the same manufacturer?
No. Compatibility is tied to the exact car model and component, not simply to the marque.
What should I compare before spending a rare part?
Compare the exact model and component, Stage 5 readiness, the event or race goal, inventory availability, PP and Evo before and after fitting, and the displayed removal cost.
The Bottom Line
Choose upgrades by exact model, component readiness and race purpose. Complete Stage 5 before Stage 6, judge Fusion Parts by Evo rather than PP alone, and inspect the removal charge before committing scarce inventory. Rare Imports, races, challenges, events and stripping can provide parts, but none guarantees the component you want.
