First decide what you mean by “loop.” If you just want to repeat a meditation video while watching, YouTube’s built-in Loop control is free and needs no cloud service. If you want a prerecorded meditation to broadcast continuously as a public YouTube Live stream while your computer is off, compare services that explicitly play uploaded files or playlists on repeat—not just cloud encoders that relay a live camera or OBS feed.

Choose the right kind of loop

Repeat a video while you watch

For ordinary playback, use YouTube’s Loop control. On a computer, right-click the video player and select Loop; YouTube also documents repeat controls for playlists, mobile devices, TVs, and gaming consoles. YouTube’s playback instructions cover the available controls.

Repeat a video in an embedded player

If you are configuring a YouTube embed on a website, the YouTube IFrame Player API supports looping a single video with loop=1 and the same video ID in the playlist parameter. The documented URL pattern is https://www.youtube.com/embed/VIDEO_ID?playlist=VIDEO_ID&loop=1. This repeats playback in the embedded player; it does not create a livestream. See the YouTube player parameters reference.

Broadcast a prerecorded video continuously on YouTube Live

This is the cloud-service use case: the service plays your uploaded meditation video or playlist and sends it to YouTube as a live broadcast. Once configured, a suitable cloud service can keep the stream running without your computer or local streaming software staying online. YouTube’s cloud-encoder documentation describes sending a live input to a cloud service for distribution; that alone does not mean the encoder can play an uploaded file on repeat. YouTube’s streaming guidance explains the distinction.

Compare services against the actual workflow

Before paying, confirm that a service handles prerecorded-file looping, then compare the operational details that affect whether your meditation stream can run as intended.

What to compare Question to ask Why it matters
Source media Can you upload a video or audio file and arrange files into a playlist that repeats? A cloud encoder that relays a live input may not be able to play prerecorded files.
YouTube connection Does setup use YouTube’s RTMP server URL and stream key, or an authorized integration? You need a supported connection to the correct YouTube channel and broadcast.
Local equipment Does the stream continue after you close the browser and turn off your computer? A service that still depends on a local encoder or upload connection does not remove the home-computer requirement.
Limits and price How many simultaneous streams, streaming hours, and storage are included? What does continued use cost after any trial? A time-limited trial or storage cap may not suit an always-on channel.
Recovery What happens after a temporary network error, YouTube disconnection, invalid key, or source-file problem? Recovery may handle temporary failures, but no provider can be assumed to guarantee an uninterrupted broadcast.
Rights and policy Do you own or have permission to broadcast every audio and video element, and does the content comply with YouTube’s rules? Using a cloud service does not transfer responsibility for copyright or YouTube policy compliance.

What the documented service examples establish

StreamNeo

StreamNeo is a cloud service for looping uploaded videos or playlists to YouTube. Its setup is to upload your recording, add your YouTube stream key, and go live; the cloud runs the loop, so your computer does not have to stay on. It is the first option to consider for an always-on prerecorded YouTube stream because it runs from the cloud, accepts uploads up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.

Looping Stream

Looping Stream’s provider page describes uploading video or audio files, arranging one or more files into a playlist, entering YouTube’s RTMP destination and stream key, and running the broadcast from cloud workers. It says the local computer is needed for configuration but can be turned off after setup. The page also describes a new-user trial as seven days from first sign-in, with 24 total streaming hours, 1 GB of storage, and one simultaneous stream; the trial ends when either the seven days or 24 streaming hours are used. These are provider-stated terms and may change, so confirm current limits and pricing on Looping Stream’s site before relying on them. The provider says temporary errors may be recoverable, but outages, invalid keys, and source-file problems can still stop a stream.

Do not treat a generic cloud-encoder feature list as proof that a service loops uploaded meditation files. YouTube describes cloud encoders as a way to send a live input to a cloud service for distribution across destinations; ask the provider to confirm file upload and playlist looping specifically.

Set up a continuous YouTube Live meditation stream

  1. Check the channel. Verify the channel and enable live streaming in YouTube. YouTube says first-time live-stream enablement may take at least 24 hours after the first request, so allow for that before a planned launch. Follow the current YouTube live-stream setup guidance.
  2. Prepare authorized media. Use a meditation recording whose audio, video, and any other included material you own or have permission to broadcast. Review YouTube’s policies and any applicable rights before publishing; a service provider does not clear media rights for you.
  3. Confirm the service can play files. Select a prerecorded-video looping workflow, upload the meditation file or build a playlist, and check that the service’s storage and stream limits fit your intended schedule.
  4. Connect YouTube. In YouTube’s live setup, obtain the RTMP server URL and stream key if the service requires them. Enter them in the provider’s YouTube destination settings, taking care to select the right channel and keep the key private. YouTube notes that stream keys and RTMP URLs may be needed; the exact labels and screens can vary by workflow.
  5. Start and verify the broadcast. Start the cloud stream and check YouTube’s stream health and live player before leaving it unattended. YouTube recommends sufficient upload speed for streaming; monitor the broadcast during initial setup to catch a bad key, connection issue, or problematic source file.
  6. Test recovery and playlist behavior. Confirm what the service does after a temporary disconnection and whether the playlist resumes or restarts as you expect. Do not assume a service can recover from an invalid key, a YouTube-side outage, or a damaged media file.

Copyright, reused content, and channel responsibility

A meditation video may include music, nature sounds, spoken guidance, artwork, or footage made by someone else. You need the appropriate rights or permission for each element you broadcast. A cloud service only transports or plays the media; it does not make unauthorized material yours or guarantee that YouTube will accept or monetize a channel.

Also consider how repetitive programming fits your channel’s purpose and applicable YouTube rules. A continuous stream is not a shortcut around copyright or other platform policies. Review the current YouTube Community Guidelines and relevant copyright guidance, and resolve rights questions before going live.

Troubleshoot common setup problems

  • The stream will not connect: Check that live streaming is enabled, the correct channel is selected, and the RTMP URL and stream key are entered accurately. If you changed or reset the key, update the service destination too.
  • The service relays a feed but will not play your file: It may be a live-input encoder rather than a prerecorded-file looper. Confirm upload and playlist playback support before subscribing.
  • The stream stops after the computer is turned off: Verify that the provider is actually running the media in its cloud and that no local encoder or browser session is still required for playback.
  • The stream stops after a period of time: Check trial-hour limits, storage caps, simultaneous-stream limits, payment status, source-file availability, and YouTube stream health. Temporary recovery does not cover every outage or configuration error.
  • Viewers report silence or missing content: Check the source file and playlist order, then review the live player and stream health. Confirm that the full audio and visual recording is present and that playback is not ending at an unexpected point.
  • YouTube raises a rights or policy issue: Review the specific notice and your permissions for every included element. Changing providers will not resolve a rights problem.

Or let it run in the cloud
