In YouTube Studio, compare the livestream’s Supers revenue with its estimated ad revenue for the same video and the same date range. Supers includes Super Chat and related features; estimated ad revenue is the advertising category. Keep the figures separate, and revisit estimates after YouTube’s later adjustments.
What you are comparing
Super Chat revenue
Super Chat is a viewer purchase that highlights a message in live chat during a stream or Premiere. YouTube reports it under Supers, alongside related features such as Super Stickers. YouTube Help says creators receive 70% of confirmed Supers revenue after local sales tax and iOS App Store fees are deducted; YouTube currently covers transaction costs such as credit card fees. YouTube’s Super Chat and Super Stickers guidance describes the share and its calculation basis.
Replay ad revenue
A replay is the video available after the livestream ends. Its ad earnings are reported as advertising revenue from video playback. YouTube says Analytics can show ad revenue for both live streams and live replays, but ad slots are not guaranteed to serve: delivery depends on YouTube’s ad systems and other factors. See YouTube’s live-stream monetization guidance.
These are different revenue categories. A Super Chat is a live-chat purchase, not replay advertising revenue; a replay’s ad revenue belongs in the advertising category. The comparison below treats “replay earnings” as replay advertising earnings.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Compare the figures in YouTube Studio
- Open the revenue report. In YouTube Studio, go to Analytics > Revenue. Find the separate Supers revenue and estimated ad revenue measures. The YouTube Studio revenue reports list Supers separately from estimated ad revenue. YouTube Help: Check your YouTube revenue.
- Choose the relevant video. Select the livestream’s video, using its video-level analytics. YouTube’s live-stream metrics are based on the video ID; available playback filters can include Live, On demand, or Live & on demand, depending on the report. See YouTube’s live-stream metrics guidance.
- Set one shared date range. Use identical start and end dates for both revenue figures. If your report offers playback categories, choose the replay/on-demand view when isolating replay advertising. If it does not, compare the two revenue types for the same video and common date range, and be clear that the ad figure may cover the report’s available playback scope rather than a separately isolated replay total.
- Compare like with like. Keep currency and period consistent. A simple ratio, if useful, is replay estimated ad revenue ÷ Supers revenue. This is your arithmetic comparison, not a YouTube-defined performance metric. A ratio is not meaningful if the Supers figure is zero; report the two amounts separately instead.
- Record the reporting status. Label ad revenue as estimated where YouTube does. Do not treat an early estimate as final payment.
Do not substitute RPM
RPM is not a synonym for Super Chat revenue or replay ad revenue. YouTube defines RPM as revenue per thousand views and says it combines multiple sources, including ads, YouTube Premium, channel memberships, Super Chat, and Super Stickers. Because it combines categories and divides by views, it cannot answer how much came from one stream’s Supers versus its replay ads. See YouTube’s ad revenue analytics explanation.
Why the result may change
YouTube describes estimated revenue adjustments at two points: about one week after revenue is generated, then again in the middle of the following month as earnings are finalized. Estimates can be adjusted for invalid traffic, Content ID claims and disputes, and certain ad campaign types. Recheck the same video, categories, and date range after those adjustments; your individual agreement and final payment records govern what you actually receive. YouTube Partner earnings overview.

How to interpret the comparison
- If Supers is higher, viewers’ confirmed live-chat purchases exceeded the replay’s reported ad earnings for that matched period. It does not establish that future streams will perform the same way.
- If replay ad revenue is higher, ad playback earnings exceeded Supers for that period. Ad delivery is not guaranteed, so this is not a promise of repeat results.
- If one figure is missing or zero, do not infer a hidden amount from RPM. Check that you selected the correct video, date window, revenue category, and—where available—playback type.
- If one figure is still estimated, present the comparison as provisional and update it after YouTube’s adjustment cycle.
Or let it run in the cloud
Comparing earnings happens in YouTube Studio; keeping a prerecorded YouTube stream live is a separate task. StreamNeo is a cloud service for looping uploaded videos on YouTube, so nothing has to stay on at home. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It streams the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month.
