To complete A Prime Specimen in ARC Raiders, accept it from Shani after The Clean Dream, take or find two ARC Powercells, then use both at an ARC Deforester on Blue Gate and loot the wreckage. The quest’s objectives are listed as needing to be completed in one round, so plan to finish all three before extracting or losing the run.
Before you start: unlock the quest and prepare
Shani, the Security Trader, offers A Prime Specimen after you complete The Clean Dream. The ARC Raiders Wiki lists three objectives: obtain two ARC Powercells, interact with any ARC Deforester, and loot one. It marks the objectives “IN ONE ROUND.” The wiki was last modified August 9, 2026; an ARC Raiders.gg page has described objectives carrying over between raids, so the sources conflict. Bring two Powercells if you have them. If you need to find them during the run, Insider Gaming lists First Wave Husks and downed Wasps or Hornets as possible sources. Insider Gaming’s quest walkthrough.
On accepting the quest, Shani’s dialogue, as transcribed by the ARC Raiders Wiki, is: “See if you can find a way to open up that Deforester. By now, I trust you know to approach very carefully.”

Where to find an ARC Deforester on Blue Gate
PC Gamer reports three Deforester search areas on Blue Gate: two in the west, around Adorned Wreckage and Barren Clearing, and one in the east near Ridgeline. These are area descriptions, not guaranteed spawns or exact coordinates; the guide describes the structures as large cylindrical wreckages. PC Gamer’s A Prime Specimen guide.
Try a nearby reported site if the first Deforester you reach has already been used or cannot be activated. GamesRadar reported that each Deforester can be looted once per match, which means another player may have completed it before you arrive. Its January 2026 guide named two known sites at that time; the later PC Gamer guide reports three, so use the broader three-area search list as a guide rather than a guarantee. How to activate the Deforester and complete the quest
- Enter the main chamber. Find the exposed circuit panel inside the cylindrical wreckage.
- Use the first ARC Powercell. Interact with the panel to start the sequence. Flames will intermittently block the route through the chamber.
- Wait for a safe opening. Do not try to cross while the flames are active. Move through when they stop.
- Use the second Powercell. At the panel at the far end or back of the chamber, interact and spend the other cell.
- Leave and loot the upper platform. Exit the chamber, climb to the raised platform, then search the wreckage or container there to satisfy the looting objective.

If the Deforester will not activate
- No interaction prompt: another player may have already completed that Deforester during the match. If you have enough time, move to another reported Blue Gate area.
- The quest does not register: PC Gamer’s January 27, 2026 guide reported an interaction-trigger problem and advised trying another Deforester or a later run. That is a dated report, not confirmation that the issue remains live.
- You are short a Powercell: check First Wave Husks or shoot down Wasps and Hornets, the sources named by Insider Gaming, before attempting the two-panel sequence.
Quest rewards
The ARC Raiders Wiki lists three Door Blockers and one Patrol Car Key as completion rewards. It also lists three Remote Raider Flares granted when the quest is accepted. ARC Raiders Wiki: A Prime Specimen.
