Distributed Strike required 18 cleanup-crew eliminations: six at each of Ref’s camps on Woods, Customs and Shoreline. The targets were at EMERCOM Camp on Woods, the Dorms area on Customs, and Smuggler’s Base on Shoreline. However, the quest reference now labels the mission as event-only and removed or replaced content. Treat the locations and rewards below as historical guidance, and confirm that the task is actually offered in your current game before planning a raid.
Distributed Strike at a glance
The mission belonged to the Tarkov Hospitality quest event. Its objective was not a map-wide hunt: each map had one named camp associated with Ref, and you had to eliminate six members of the cleanup crew there. Completing all three objectives meant 18 qualifying kills in total.

| Map | Historical target area | Landmark and orientation | Required eliminations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Woods | EMERCOM Camp | Beside the lake on the route toward Sawmill; described in the guide as the FOB area | 6 |
| Customs | Dorms area | The two dorm buildings along the main road, near the vehicle extract | 6 |
| Shoreline | Smuggler’s Base | Upper-right portion of the map, with a minefield nearby | 6 |
Those landmarks are the useful navigation answer to “Where do I find the cleanup crews?” The quest did not ask for six kills across an entire map; kills had to be made at the relevant camp for that map’s objective.

Do not assume Distributed Strike can be accepted simply because an old guide lists it. The quest page carries notices that the content is available only during special events and has been removed or replaced. The available references do not establish that a later rerun has restored it.

The event chronology records Tarkov Hospitality on June 5, 2026. During that event, Ref’s Cleanup Crew spawned in every raid on Customs, Shoreline and Woods. That timing explains why older videos and guides can show the camps as active while a normal post-event quest list does not.
- Open your current quest list and look for Distributed Strike before entering a raid.
- Check that the mission shows an active objective for the map you intend to play.
- If the task is absent, marked unavailable, or replaced by another event quest, do not expect the cleanup crews to count in ordinary raids.
- If the mission has returned in a later event, read the in-game objective carefully; a rerun could change locations, counts or rewards.
This guide preserves the historical camp positions and requirements, but the in-game quest text is the authority for the live version.
What the quest asked you to do
Three camps, six kills each
The historical objective was split into three map-specific requirements. You needed six cleanup-crew eliminations at Ref’s Woods camp, six at the Customs camp and six at the Shoreline camp. The total was therefore 18, not six shared across the maps.

Quest position in the chain
Jaeger was listed as the giver. Adaptive Diplomacy preceded Distributed Strike, and Dish Served Cold followed it in the listed chain. Distributed Strike was not required for the Kappa container according to the quest reference, so a player pursuing Kappa did not need this event mission for that specific requirement.
Woods: finding EMERCOM Camp
How to orient yourself
On Woods, head for the EMERCOM camp beside the lake, on the route toward Sawmill. The location is also described as the FOB area. The lake and the Sawmill approach are the useful orientation cues: use them to distinguish the camp from other Woods structures rather than searching the whole map for isolated enemies.
Where the objective was counted
The historical objective was six cleanup-crew members at Ref’s EMERCOM camp. Arriving in the general lakeside region was not itself a completion condition; the eliminations had to be made against the crew associated with that camp while the event objective was active.
Practical Woods approach
- Choose a route that lets you identify the lake and your direction toward Sawmill before committing to the camp.
- Use the camp’s FOB-style layout as a visual confirmation that you have reached the intended area.
- Expect other players to have the same destination during an active event. The dated coverage specifically warned that players would rush these targets.
- After each engagement, verify the objective progress before leaving the area; do not assume that every hostile in the camp is a qualifying cleanup-crew member.
Because the available material does not provide a current spawn diagram or a definitive enemy roster, avoid treating every Woods NPC or player kill near the lake as a guaranteed quest count.
Customs: finding the Dorms camp
Use the main road and vehicle extract as references
Customs’ target area was the Dorms compound: the pair of dorm buildings alongside the main road, near the vehicle extract. This is the clearest way to separate the objective from other Customs locations. Approach the two-building Dorms area rather than looking for a separate camp marker elsewhere on the map.

Six eliminations at Ref’s Customs camp
The requirement was six cleanup-crew members in the Dorms area. The count was map-specific, so kills made at another Customs landmark would not satisfy the historical Distributed Strike objective.
Customs movement considerations
- Confirm the main road and the two dorm structures before engaging; the road-side position is the key orientation detail.
- The nearby vehicle extract is a useful navigation check, but it is not described as part of the kill requirement.
- Dorms is an obvious convergence point when an event is active. The dated guide’s warning about competing players applies particularly to a recognizable objective location such as this.
- Once six qualifying eliminations are recorded, leave by a route appropriate to your raid rather than remaining solely because other hostiles are still present.
The historical sources do not state a fixed internal room, floor or doorway for the crew. Search the Dorms area as a whole and rely on the live objective tracker to confirm qualifying kills.
Shoreline: finding Smuggler’s Base
Upper-right map position
On Shoreline, Smuggler’s Base was in the upper-right portion of the map, near a minefield. The upper-right orientation and the minefield warning are the two landmarks supplied for locating it.
Do not confuse the base with the health resort
Jaeger’s briefing described the smugglers’ camp as being near the health resort, while the location guidance identifies the objective as Smuggler’s Base in the upper-right area. Use the named base and its minefield-adjacent position as the operational destination; the briefing’s health-resort wording is contextual dialogue, not a replacement objective at the resort itself.
Shoreline objective and approach
- Navigate toward the upper-right section and identify the Smuggler’s Base area before searching for targets.
- Keep the nearby minefield in mind while routing to and from the camp. The supplied guidance identifies it as a hazard landmark but does not specify safe lanes through it.
- As on the other maps, six cleanup-crew eliminations were required at this camp.
- Check progress before extracting, especially if visibility, combat or a minefield detour caused you to fight outside the base.
No current map update, spawn timetable or minefield route is established by the historical references, so use the live map and in-game warnings if the event returns.
How difficult were the cleanup crews?
Insider Gaming’s June 6, 2026 coverage characterized the cleanup crew as tougher than an average Scav and warned that other players would also be rushing to eliminate them. That is dated event coverage, not an independently tested statement about every later patch. It is still a useful planning assumption for the historical event: reaching a camp did not guarantee an easy six-kill sweep, and the same objective drew PvP traffic.
Plan around two separate threats:
- The crew: Dated coverage described these NPCs as more difficult than ordinary Scavs. Avoid assuming that a casual scavenging loadout will perform identically against them.
- Other operators: Because the objectives were fixed and publicly known, players had a reason to converge on EMERCOM Camp, Dorms and Smuggler’s Base. A quiet approach could become a fight with another squad before you see the crew.
The sources do not provide verified health values, armor tables, weapon lists or a recommended build. Do not import those details from an unrelated patch or present them as Distributed Strike requirements.
A raid-by-raid plan for an active rerun
1. Confirm the objective before gearing up
Make sure Distributed Strike is visible and active. If it is an event-only task that has been removed, no route or loadout will produce progress in standard raids.

2. Select one map and one camp
Build the raid around the camp listed for that map: EMERCOM Camp on Woods, Dorms on Customs or Smuggler’s Base on Shoreline. Avoid treating the mission as a free-form search for 18 enemies anywhere.
3. Navigate by the supplied landmarks
Use the lake and Sawmill route on Woods, the main road and vehicle-extract vicinity on Customs, and Shoreline’s upper-right area with the nearby minefield. These references are more reliable than a vague search for “Ref’s camp.”
4. Confirm qualifying progress
After engagements, check the quest display for credited eliminations. The historical material does not define every enemy type that can appear near a camp, so objective credit is the safest confirmation.
5. Decide whether to continue or extract
Once the map’s six-kill requirement is complete, the remaining decision is raid survival. If the camp is attracting other players or the route out is compromised, preserving the completed progress is more valuable than chasing unverified additional kills.
6. Repeat on the other two maps
Complete the same six-kill check on the other named camps until the total reaches 18. If a later event changes the count or camp list, follow the current in-game text instead of this historical sequence.
Historical reward list
The quest reference listed the following rewards. They describe the historical mission and should not be read as a guarantee that a current rerun uses the same payout.
| Reward | Historical amount or item | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Experience | 15,000 EXP | Listed quest reward |
| Roubles | 200,000 | Base listed amount |
| Roubles with Intelligence Center level 1 | 210,000 | Increase listed for Intelligence Center Level 1 |
| Roubles with Intelligence Center level 2 | 230,000 | Increase listed for Intelligence Center Level 2 |
| Marksman rifle | 1 HK G28, chambered for 7.62×51 | Listed item reward |
| Magazines | 2 HK417/G28 20-round magazines | Listed quantity |
| Ammunition | 4 packs of 20 rounds of 7.62×51mm M80 | 80 rounds total, as four 20-round packs |
The Intelligence Center figures are reward variations recorded by the quest reference, not separate bonuses that stack with one another. The source material does not establish current market values, trader prices or whether these items remain obtainable.

Event content is not permanent quest content
Distributed Strike was tied to Tarkov Hospitality rather than presented as a permanently available task. The event chronology places that activity on June 5, 2026, and records cleanup crews spawning in every raid on the three relevant maps during the event.

Removed-or-replaced notices matter
The quest reference explicitly displays removed-or-replaced and special-event notices. A guide can therefore be accurate about the historical map locations while being unusable as a current pickup instruction. If the mission is missing from Jaeger’s list, that is consistent with its documented status rather than evidence that you are searching the wrong trader menu.
Patch and rerun uncertainty
The available references do not confirm a later rerun. A future event could restore the task, alter the six-per-map count, move a camp or replace the rewards. Verify the objective, map names and payout in your client whenever the quest appears again.
Jaeger’s briefing and what it tells you
The community quest page transcribes this briefing line from Jaeger: “We know for certain there are three camps: the EMERCOM camp in the nature reserve, the smugglers’ camp near our health resort, and the dormitories at customs.”

Troubleshooting the historical objectives
The camp is present, but no progress appears
Check that Distributed Strike is active and that the enemy you defeated was credited by the objective. A nearby hostile is not automatically a cleanup-crew member, and kills outside the relevant camp may not count.
You cannot find the location
Re-anchor your navigation: Woods means the lakeside route toward Sawmill and the EMERCOM/FOB area; Customs means the two Dorms buildings on the main road near the vehicle extract; Shoreline means Smuggler’s Base in the upper-right near the minefield.
The quest is not in Jaeger’s list
That is expected if the event is not running or the content remains removed or replaced. The historical location guide cannot reactivate an event-only task.

Your reward differs from the table
Compare the live quest screen first. The amounts and items above are historical listed rewards, including Intelligence Center variations, and a rerun or later patch may use different values.
Bottom line for players looking at an old guide
For the historical version of Distributed Strike, clear six cleanup-crew members at each of three camps: EMERCOM Camp on Woods, Dorms on Customs and Smuggler’s Base on Shoreline. The mission totaled 18 kills and offered the listed Jaeger quest rewards, but its event-only, removed-or-replaced status means you must verify availability in-game before attempting any of these routes.
