The key is to collect it from the northwestern part of the lower floor in Abyss Surface; water from the other collection points is rejected. The quest becomes available during the “Throne of the Underworld” story progression.
Start “I Don’t Belong Anywhere Yet”
- Progress through the “Throne of the Underworld” story mission until MarineAngemon contacts you through Digiline.
- Go to Warrior’s Watering Hole and speak with MarineAngemon to receive the request and bottle.
Find the clean seawater in Abyss Surface
- Travel to Abyss Surface and go to the northwestern area of the lower floor.
- Interact with the sparkling collection point there. It is away from Numemon and Raremon; the other collection spots provide water MarineAngemon considers “funky.”
If you already filled the bottle with the wrong water, use the clean-water point to tip it out and refill it; you do not need to return to MarineAngemon first. Dbltap’s quest guide describes this replacement option.

Return the water and follow the next markers
- Return to MarineAngemon at Warrior’s Watering Hole and continue the conversation. MarineAngemon may still complain, but the quest can proceed; dialogue choices are not reported to affect completion.
- Follow the active quest marker to the next encounter near the southern part of Central Town.
- Continue to the final check-in at Abyss Beach. If your marker or localization presents a different route, follow the in-game quest marker.
Quest rewards
Neoseeker lists the completion rewards as 10,000 yen, 70 Anomaly Points, one SPD Augment Chip III, and three Courage Point II. These are third-party walkthrough figures, not independently verified against an official game source. Neoseeker’s mission listing provides the reward details.
