Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0, “Paean of Era Nova,” launched on January 15, 2025, beginning the Astral Express’s journey to Amphoreus and a new main-story arc. The update also added the Remembrance path for the Trailblazer, two five-star characters, new exploration tools and areas, Relic adjustments, and a limited-time March 7th outfit. These are retrospective details; the original announcement does not establish that its outfit or banner offers remain available.
What Version 3.0 changed
Version 3.0 began the Amphoreus chapter of the Trailblaze story. The January 13, 2025 announcement said that the story would span versions 3.0 through 3.7; that was the announced scope, not a guarantee of a particular release cadence. The update also introduced two new five-star characters, the Trailblazer’s Remembrance path, new locations and exploration mechanics, and progression changes. PlayStation Blog’s Version 3.0 announcement attributes the update overview to Yang Yu, Technical Lead of Honkai: Star Rail.
Amphoreus and the new story arc
The Astral Express leaves Penacony for Amphoreus with Black Swan’s guidance. The announcement presents Amphoreus as a world difficult to perceive from outside, whose inhabitants know neither the wider universe nor the Aeons and instead worship Titans.
Key locations and conflict
- Abyss of Fate: The story begins here.
- Okhema: The Holy City is described as humanity’s last sanctuary, protected by Kephale, the Worldbearing Titan.
- Castrum Kremnos: An area where the Hand of Zagreus is used to manipulate objects and clear routes.
- Vortex of Genesis: Another of the update’s story areas.
The Chrysos Heirs pursue the Titans’ Coreflames. The announced Version 3.0 climax centers on a confrontation with Nikador, the Strife Titan, including a battle mechanic involving Glory stacks and the Titan’s Titanic Corpus.
Trailblazer’s Remembrance path
Version 3.0 gives the Trailblazer access to the Path of Remembrance and the memosprite Mem. Mem charges energy and can help a designated ally act immediately, while also dealing additional True DMG. This adds a support-oriented action and damage mechanic to the Trailblazer’s combat options.

New five-star characters and announced banners

The update announcement listed these reruns: first half: Lingsha, Feixiao, and Jade; second half: Boothill, Robin, and Silver Wolf. This is the Version 3.0 lineup, not a statement of current banner availability.
Exploration and progression additions
Hand of Zagreus and Flying Amphorae
The Hand of Zagreus helps move objects, pick up items, break paths, and defeat enemies in certain situations. Flying Amphorae offer a movement-speed boost when smashed.
Relic tools and Leveling Guide
The update introduced Wishful Resin and Variable Dice for targeted changes to Relic main and sub stats. It also added a Leveling Guide with recommendations for Character Level, Light Cone, Traces, and Relics.

Access to Amphoreus
The update notice described an adjustment allowing players to head to Amphoreus after completing the “Silent Galaxy” Trailblaze Mission, easing access for newer players.
March 7th outfit and PS5 edition
March 7th’s Preservation outfit, “Nascent Spring,” could be claimed during Version 3.0 after unlocking the Characters function and logging in. That was a time-limited offer during the version, not an indication that the outfit is still claimable. The announcement also said a Trailblazer Edition physical disc bundle for PS5 would soon be available; it does not establish present stock or regional availability.

HoYoverse’s Japanese Version 3.0 update notice, published January 15, 2025, scheduled maintenance from 06:00 UTC+8 for about five hours. It separately listed 300 Stellar Jades as maintenance compensation for players meeting its Trailblaze Level 4 cutoff and another 300 Stellar Jades for bug fixes, with a different claim deadline. Those were historical compensation notices, not rewards currently available to claim; consult the notice for its exact eligibility and deadlines.
