To earn Photo Op!, use the Anniversary event’s vista portals to visit at least 10 eligible destinations. You do not need to take a screenshot: the achievement tracks portal visits, not photos. The documented event details below are for 2025; check Blizzard’s current announcement before assuming the activity is available in 2026.
How to complete Photo Op!
- During the WoW Anniversary event, go to the event grounds at the Caverns of Time in Tanaris. Blizzard announced the 21st Anniversary for November 16 through December 7, 2025. A 2025 activity guide places the portal area near coordinates 62.8, 49.3; those coordinates are a guide reference, not an official achievement requirement. - Find the three vista portals beside the photo area and use them while they are active. A 2025 guide says their destinations rotated daily. Flying to a zone on your own does not fulfill the stated portal-visit requirement. Achievement criteria 2025 activity guide
- Repeat across portal rotations until the achievement records visits to 10 different eligible locations. The 2025 guide reports that each destination has a return portal. Achievement criteria 2025 activity guide
The achievement’s criterion is: “Visit at least 10 vista locations by taking vista portals.” Achievement criteria

Is Photo Op! available in 2026?
The official schedule documented here is for the 21st Anniversary event, held November 16–December 7, 2025. That schedule and the 2025 guide’s daily rotation details do not establish 2026 dates, whether the activity will return, or which portals will be active. Confirm the current event schedule with Blizzard’s announcement before planning a run; the live in-game achievement panel is the best reference for current criteria.

Players reported a Tiragarde Sound portal issue in December 2024. A Blizzard forum reply linked access to Battle for Azeroth campaign progress, and another player said completing “Come Sail Away” resolved it. These are historical player-reported workarounds, not confirmation that the issue persists. If the portal fails, check the character’s BfA introduction progress and current community reports.
