Spoilers: Sellen’s quest ends with a choice between helping her or Jerren at Raya Lucaria Grand Library, and the two routes give different rewards. To reach that choice, follow the sequence from Waypoint Ruins through Azur, Lusat, Radahn, and the Primal Glintstone transfer at the Three Sisters.
Start Sellen’s quest at Waypoint Ruins
- Go to Waypoint Ruins in Limgrave and defeat Mad Pumpkin Head to open the cellar.
- Speak with Sorceress Sellen inside and agree to study under her. This establishes her as a sorcery vendor and begins the relevant quest relationship.
Meeting Sellen at Witchbane Ruins is not the quest’s starting point; begin with her at Waypoint Ruins.
Find Azur and receive the Sellian Sealbreaker
- Travel to Hermit Village on Mt. Gelmir and find Primeval Sorcerer Azur. Speak with him to obtain Comet Azur.
- Return to Sellen at Waypoint Ruins and choose “Let us journey together.” She gives you the Sellian Sealbreaker and points you toward another sorcerer.
Find Lusat in Sellia Hideaway
Sellia Hideaway is in Caelid. Its entrance is concealed behind a wall near a graveyard; follow the cave route to a sealed passage.
- Use the Sellian Sealbreaker on the seal.
- Speak with Lusat beyond it to receive Stars of Ruin.
- Return to Sellen and exhaust her dialogue.
Defeat Radahn and take Sellen’s Primal Glintstone
- Defeat Starscourge Radahn. If Jerren’s post-festival conversation at Redmane Castle is still available, speak with him there.
- Talk to Sellen, then travel to Witchbane Ruins on the Weeping Peninsula.
- Speak with Sellen in her chained form to obtain Sellen’s Primal Glintstone.
Transfer the Primal Glintstone at the Three Sisters
At the Three Sisters, near Ranni’s Rise, locate the hidden basement and reveal its illusory entrance. In the room beyond, transplant the Primal Glintstone into the body there. If you have not opened access to this area, the route is connected to Caria Manor and Royal Knight Loretta.

Speak with Jerren at Witchbane Ruins
Return to Witchbane Ruins and exhaust Jerren’s dialogue. If you did not speak with him at Redmane Castle after the festival, complete that conversation first, then return to Witchbane Ruins before proceeding to the final choice.

After the preceding steps, look for the two summon signs outside the Raya Lucaria Grand Library boss-room area. Choose one; the decision determines which character you help and which branch-specific rewards you receive.

Which branch should you choose?
- Choose Sellen if you want Glintstone Kris and access to Shard Spiral through her shop, as well as the Eccentric’s Armor set.
- Choose Jerren if you prefer the listed Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone and consumable rewards.
- Both branches list Witch’s Glintstone Crown, so it does not distinguish the two reward sets.
- The story choice is also whether you want to aid Sellen or Jerren. Make sure the preceding dialogue and transfer steps are complete before choosing a sign.
This route and reward list follow Sarah James’s PC Gamer walkthrough, last updated April 6, 2023, with major NPC and item transitions corroborated by Eldenpedia’s Sellen quest reference. These sources do not establish a patch-specific change, so this guide does not make a claim about behavior on a particular later game build.
