To complete The Ancient Rito Song in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, finish Divine Beast Vah Medoh, speak with Bedoli at Revali’s Landing during the day, then recite her song to Laissa near Akh Va’quot Shrine. Light a flame on the pedestal south of Rito Village and keep it burning until the heart-shaped light reveals Bareeda Naag Shrine at about 12:30–12:35 PM.
How do I start The Ancient Rito Song?
First, complete Divine Beast Vah Medoh. Afterward, find Bedoli at Revali’s Landing, the large ledge on the eastern side of Rito Village. Speak with her during the day to hear the first part of the old Rito song. The prerequisite and NPC locations are also described in Thonky’s quest guide and GameFAQs’ walkthrough.
Where is Laissa, and what should I tell her?
From Bedoli, follow the walkway west, going clockwise around the village. Laissa is near Akh Va’quot Shrine. Recite Bedoli’s lines to her; Laissa then provides the second part of the clue.
The Pride of Rito, pillar in the sky, it’s heart lights up, when the sun is high.

Where is the shrine pedestal, and how do I reveal the shrine?
The clue points to a pedestal south of Rito Village, across the lake. Reach it by gliding or another route, then light a campfire on the pedestal. A lit torch placed there also works, according to Thonky’s guide.

- Place a campfire on the pedestal and light it, or set a lit torch on it.
- Wait until around 12:30–12:35 PM. The heart-shaped light reaches the pedestal at approximately this time and reveals Bareeda Naag Shrine.
- Keep the flame lit while you wait. If it goes out, relight it.
The timing is approximate: one walkthrough gives about 12:30 PM, while another gives about 12:35 PM. You do not need to travel to a different Rito location to trigger this quest.

The Ancient Rito Song reveals Bareeda Naag Shrine. Voo Lota Shrine is a different shrine, at Warbler’s Nest west of Rito Village, and is tied to the separate Recital at Warbler’s Nest quest. That quest involves Kheel and her sisters, their rehearsal, and a Korok Leaf puzzle; its location and context are covered in the Voo Lota Shrine reference and Thonky’s Voo Lota Shrine guide.
