To complete The Bird in the Mountains, speak with Molli in Rito Village, find the lone tree she describes, then glide northwest toward Biron Snowshelf and enter the opening in its southeast cliff wall. Activate Mozo Shenno Shrine to finish the quest; its Major Test of Strength is a separate challenge.
Start the quest with Molli in Rito Village
Find Molli in Rito Village and talk to her to begin The Bird in the Mountains. She identifies a large, lone tree connected to her grandfather’s story. Mark the tree on your map before setting out; it is the route’s main navigation clue.
Where is the lone tree?
Travel to the tree Molli points out. From there, look northwest toward Biron Snowshelf. The “bird” in the riddle refers to the shape made by the snowy cliff tops, which guides you toward the shrine’s location.
Where is Mozo Shenno Shrine?
- Start at the lone tree. Face northwest toward Biron Snowshelf.
- Paraglide toward the snowshelf. Aim for the southeast side of the cliff wall.
- Find the opening. Search the southeast cliff wall for an entrance and go through it to reach Mozo Shenno Shrine.
- Activate the shrine. This completes The Bird in the Mountains shrine quest.
What to expect inside Mozo Shenno
Mozo Shenno is in the Hebra Region and contains a separate Major Test of Strength. The shrine has metal blocks in the floor that Link can raise with Magnesis. The Guardian Scout carries an Ancient Battle Axe++, Guardian Spear++, and Guardian Sword++; a chest contains a Diamond.
