What the Liberty Falls bowling Easter egg does
The Liberty Falls bowling Easter egg is a hidden Mr. Peeks minigame in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies. Shoot five fixed pairs of bowling shoes around the map, and every player in the match is transported to Liberty Lanes. The bowling alley becomes a neon-lit disco filled with dancing zombies, and you have roughly two minutes to score by rolling bowling balls through them.

This is separate from the Liberty Falls main quest. You can complete it in solo or cooperative play, and the five activation pairs can be shot in any order.

Before you begin
- Open the necessary doors with Essence. The shoes are spread across the starting area, town, Hill Street, the Cemetery, and Benson Burial Services.
- Leave one zombie alive at the end of a round when possible. This is not a requirement, but it gives you time to travel, buy doors, and line up shots without starting the next round.
- Bring a weapon with accurate fire. Several pairs are viewed through windows, damaged walls, or other openings rather than from point-blank range.
- Know your target. You must destroy all five original pairs. The later bathroom pair is for repeating the event and does not replace one of the five activation pairs.
If you do not already own the game, the Easter egg is part of the Zombies experience in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. A physical console copy is only one way to access it; players who already own the digital version or play through a subscription do not need to buy another copy. Physical options include the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 PS5 edition and the Xbox Cross-Gen Bundle, subject to platform and regional availability.
All five Liberty Falls bowling-shoe locations
The locations below are fixed. You can visit them in any order, although starting with Pump & Pay and working through the map is usually the easiest route.

1. Pump & Pay gas station
- From the starting area, drop down from the Abandoned Rooftop toward the Pump & Pay station.
- Look through the open service window or opening into the shop.
- Find the bowling shoes on the counter near the register.
- Shoot the pair through the opening.
You do not need to enter the shop. If the shoes do not disappear, adjust your angle and make sure the bullets are hitting the shoes rather than the counter or window frame.
2. Frank’s Hardware
- Travel toward the area opposite Olly’s Comics.
- Locate Frank’s Hardware and look through its broken or open storefront.
- Check the shelving on the right-hand side of the damaged interior.
- Shoot the partially obscured shoes from outside.
The pair is easy to miss because part of the shop interior blocks the view. Move laterally along the storefront instead of immediately going inside; a slightly different angle usually exposes the shoes.
3. Hill Street house beneath the Cemetery zipline
- Reach Hill Street and identify the house beneath the Cemetery zipline route.
- Look through the damaged or open entrance.
- Aim low, underneath the chair or armchair inside the room.
- Shoot the shoes on the floor beneath it.
This is one of the most commonly missed pairs because it is below the chair rather than displayed in the open. Crouching or shifting your position outside the entrance can make the shoes easier to see.
4. Cemetery
- Enter the Cemetery and move toward its upper or rear section.
- Use the Level III Armor Wall Buy as a nearby landmark.
- Find the opening in the damaged metal fence.
- Aim outward toward the tree and shoot the shoes hanging from a branch beyond the playable boundary.
Do not search only inside the Cemetery. The shoes are visible beyond the fence, so use the gap in the metal rather than trying to find a pair among the graves.
5. Benson Burial Services
- Find Benson Burial Services, the funeral-home or mortuary building across from Liberty Lanes.
- Look through the damaged entrance or another opening into the building.
- Aim toward the coffin or coffin-like display.
- Shoot the final pair sitting on top of it.
After the fifth original pair is destroyed, the activation sequence begins automatically. You do not need to return to Liberty Lanes or interact with a separate switch.

How to start the bowling minigame
Once all five pairs have been shot, the current players are automatically teleported to Liberty Lanes. Mr. Peeks appears, the venue changes to disco-style lighting, and zombies begin dancing around the bowling lanes.

Each player receives a bowling ball and a timed scoring opportunity. The active section lasts approximately two minutes. It is an arcade-style zombie-scoring event, not a normal ten-frame bowling game: the goal is to hit as many zombies as possible before the timer expires.
How to score points
- Hold the fire button to charge the ball.
- Release to roll it down the lane.
- Aim at groups rather than isolated zombies. A charged ball can pass through multiple targets.
- Keep throwing throughout the timer. There is no reason to conserve ammunition during the minigame.
Each reported zombie hit awards 10 points. Wait briefly when several targets are lined up, then release a charged throw through the densest group. Do not spend too much time trying to make a perfect single-target shot: the timer rewards repeated multi-target rolls more than cautious bowling.
Solo scoring strategy
Watch the lane for the largest cluster of dancing zombies and charge each ball before releasing it. If the targets are scattered, take the best available line and immediately prepare the next throw. Your score is based on hits, not on conventional bowling pins or frame completion.
Co-op scoring strategy
Coordinate target groups instead of having every player throw at the same isolated zombie. Players can cover different lanes or alternate dense clusters so that throws are not wasted. Since the event is timed, communication is more valuable than trying to preserve a particular formation.

When the timer ends, the game provides a reward package based on performance. Reported possibilities include:
- Essence
- Salvage
- High-tier weapons
- Wonder Weapons in some runs
These should be treated as possible rewards, not guaranteed drops. The available documentation does not establish a complete reward table or exact drop odds, and the quality or quantity of the reward is influenced by the final score.
Strike! and Deadwood achievement goals
Strike! Dark Ops challenge
300 points is the known benchmark associated with the Strike! Dark Ops challenge. At 10 points per hit, that means aiming for about 30 successful zombie hits, although multi-target throws can make the scoring feel faster than that calculation suggests.
Deadwood achievement or trophy
Deadwood is described as requiring a sporting high score in Liberty Falls and is commonly earned through this bowling event. The available guide evidence does not establish that 300 points is the only condition for Deadwood, so do not treat the Strike! target and the Deadwood requirement as definitively identical.
If you are hunting the achievement, prioritize dense groups, charge every throw, and use the repeat opportunity described below if your first score is not good enough.

How to repeat the bowling event
The event is not limited to one activation per match. After the initial bowling game, wait for the reported cooldown of roughly five rounds. Then return to Liberty Lanes and look in the bathroom or toilet area near the pool table.
A second pair of shoes is visible there. Shoot that bathroom pair to start another bowling round. Sources agree that the bathroom shoes enable repeat attempts, but the exact cooldown presentation and the total number of repeat activations are not consistently documented. Use repeat attempts when available rather than assuming that the first score is your only chance.

If shooting the shoes does not teleport the players, check the activation pairs rather than assuming the event is platform-specific or broken.

- Check Hill Street carefully. The shoes are low beneath the chair, not prominently displayed in the room.
- Check the Cemetery branch. The shoes hang from a tree beyond the damaged fence, outside the normal playable area.
- Adjust your firing angle. A shot that strikes nearby geometry may not count as a hit on the shoes.
- Confirm the pair was actually destroyed. Do not rely only on remembering that you fired at the location; revisit it and look for the shoes.
The available research does not document a universal bug, a patch-specific exception, or a platform-specific change that explains every failed activation. Avoid attributing the problem to a particular update without checking the current game version and verifying each pair again.

Do I have to shoot the five bowling shoes in order?
