- Unlock Atlantis first. The trial is not on the surface map. Current Atlantis access guides use the Heart of Zeus sequence involving the Forsaken Shores levers, TNT, the underwater temple, and the Grand Reef entrance. Because the route has changed between updates, follow the active route in your version of Fisch rather than an older portal-and-fee guide.
- Collect all six fish before placing any of them. The offerings are consumed permanently, and partial progress may not be preserved if you leave.
- Check the names carefully. The pedestals require the exact species listed above. A similar shark does not count.
- Leave enough inventory space and avoid selling or trading the fish. Keep the six offerings together and identifiable until the gate opens.
- Bring underwater movement equipment. Diving gear is useful for the approach through Poseidon’s Temple, while flippers or another movement aid can make the underwater route easier.
How to find Poseidon’s Temple and the trial
- Enter Atlantis and return to its central area.
- Travel south across the bridge toward the large Poseidon statue.
- Enter the corridor near the statue and look for the pool of water.
- Dive into the pool and swim through Poseidon’s Temple.
- Inside the temple, take the passage or archway on the right and follow the underwater tunnel.
- Continue until the route surfaces near the trial entrance. The trial area has two rooms, each containing three pedestals.
Guides commonly place the temple around X -4299, Y -604, Z 1587–1594. Small differences between reported coordinates can result from player positioning or map changes, so use the Poseidon statue, pool, and right-side underwater passage as the primary landmarks.

Equip the fish you want to offer, walk up to its matching pedestal, and use the interaction prompt. Repeat this for all six positions. The trial checks the fish’s identity, so an ordinary Hammerhead Shark cannot replace a Great Hammerhead Shark, and another white-colored shark cannot replace a Great White Shark.
Where to get the six required fish
The best acquisition method can change with events and updates. These are the currently documented locations and methods available in the reference material:

- Do not sell, trade, discard, or place any fish until you have the complete set.
- Enter the trial and place all six offerings during one continuous attempt.
- Check that the locked gate actually opens before leaving.
- Enter the Poseidon Trial Pool and confirm the displayed prices before buying a reward.
This approach matters because the fish placed on the pedestals are lost rather than returned. Leaving after only part of the puzzle may also cause the placed offerings to disappear without preserving completion.

Rewards inside the Poseidon Trial Pool
Poseidon Rod
The Poseidon Rod costs 1,555,555 C$. Current walkthrough information describes a passive chance to return part of a fish’s selling value and a chance to summon Poseidon with a weight and mutation effect. These mechanics can change through balance updates, so treat them as version-sensitive rather than permanent specifications.
Poseidon’s Wrath Totem
The totem costs 1,500,000 C$ and activates the Poseidon Wrath event. One current walkthrough reports a 2% chance of the Wrath mutation per catch during the event and says that an active Kraken Hunt can become an Ancient Kraken Hunt. Both effects should be rechecked in the live game because event mechanics are subject to updates.
The trial pool also contains Atlantis fish that are not generally available from the ordinary surface fishing areas.
The Poseidon clock is a separate puzzle
Poseidon’s Temple also contains a mythological clock behind Poseidon’s throne. It is not the six-shark Poseidon Trial and does not replace the pedestal offerings.

The clock’s clue is reported as “The King of Titans”. The solution is the black scythe symbol. Guides describe moving the clock hand four clicks with the right button, then confirming with the central red button.
Do not guess repeatedly. Selecting the wrong symbol twice can trigger a lethal tentacle attack. The clock can be solved without completing the shark trial, and solving it does not open the Poseidon Trial Pool by itself.

A pedestal rejects my fish
Check the exact species name and room position. The most likely mistake is using a similar fish, such as Hammerhead Shark instead of Great Hammerhead Shark. Also verify that Great White Shark, Ancient Megalodon, and Ginsu Shark are assigned to the three positions in the right room.
The gate did not open
Inspect all six pedestals in both rooms. One empty pedestal or one incorrect offering prevents completion. If every position appears correct but the gate remains closed, leave and re-enter only after checking the names; partial placement may not have been saved.

My fish disappeared
This is expected when an offering is accepted. The trial consumes the fish and does not return it after the gate opens.
My partial progress disappeared after leaving
Partial completion may not persist. Collect another complete set and attempt the puzzle in one uninterrupted session.
I cannot find the entrance
Start at the large Poseidon statue in Atlantis. Cross the southern bridge, enter the corridor near the statue, dive into the pool, and use the right-side passage or archway inside the temple. Follow the underwater tunnel until it surfaces near the trial.
