Complete Scarily Sweet by trick-or-treating at five qualifying villager homes during Disney Dreamlight Valley’s 2026 Trick-or-Treat event, running October 14–31. Visit homes belonging to Mickey Mouse, WALL-E, Daisy, Stitch, Mike Wazowski, and Jack Skellington. At each house, interact with the lit jack-o’-lantern outside and finish the Trick-or-Treat prompt. Five successful interactions fill the duty to 5/5.
Where to go for Scarily Sweet
Only six homes count toward this duty:
- Mickey Mouse
- WALL-E
- Daisy
- Stitch
- Mike Wazowski
- Jack Skellington
Check the pumpkin outside each eligible home. A lit jack-o’-lantern is the active interaction point. Approach it, interact, and complete the villager’s Trick-or-Treat prompt. Houses elsewhere in the valley do not advance Scarily Sweet.

Step-by-step: finish Scarily Sweet
- Open the duties menu. Go to Dreamlight Duties and find the seasonal Trick-or-Treat duties so you can monitor Scarily Sweet’s progress.
- Travel to an eligible home. Visit the house of Mickey, WALL-E, Daisy, Stitch, Mike Wazowski, or Jack Skellington.
- Find the lit pumpkin. The jack-o’-lantern outside the house identifies an available Trick-or-Treat interaction.
- Interact and complete the prompt. Use the pumpkin interaction and finish the villager encounter; simply visiting the house does not count.
- Repeat at four more homes. Scarily Sweet completes at five qualifying interactions. If fewer than five pumpkins are available in one cycle, continue after the daily reset.
What happens after an interaction
Each completed house interaction awards 5 Green Candy, 5 Red Candy, and 5 Purple Candy. The pumpkin’s light goes out after it is used, so it cannot be collected again immediately. Used pumpkins return after the daily reset. The event reference describes house pumpkins as available on the daily cycle from October 14 through October 30; on October 31, candy buckets appear more frequently, but house interactions remain the method for progressing Scarily Sweet.

These are seasonal crafting recipes, not furniture listings in Scrooge McDuck’s shop. After a milestone unlocks a recipe, gather the required candy materials and craft the item at a crafting station. The recipes can be earned only while the Trick-or-Treat event is active.

Scarily Sweet versus Sweet ’n’ Scary
The two duties use the same house-interaction activity but have different thresholds and reward tracks.

One qualifying Trick-or-Treat interaction contributes to both tracks when their respective duties are active. Scarily Sweet still requires five interactions for its first reward, even though Sweet ’n’ Scary reaches its first milestone after one.

Why Scarily Sweet may not complete
You visited the wrong house
Confirm that the home belongs to one of the six eligible villagers. The duty does not count general visits or pumpkins at unlisted homes.
The pumpkin is not lit
An unlit jack-o’-lantern has already been used for the current cycle. Move to another eligible home or wait for the daily reset.

You stopped before finishing the prompt
The counter advances only after the Trick-or-Treat interaction is completed. Start the interaction again and follow it through to the end.
You expected an immediate reuse
Each pumpkin is a one-cycle interaction. Its light goes out after use and returns after the daily reset, so completing five interactions may require more than one day.

The event is not active
The documented 2026 event window is October 14–31. Outside that period, the seasonal duty and its recipe rewards are not available through this activity.
