Start the quest and reach The Venom Crypts
The Slithering Dead takes place in Act 3 and connects Jungle Ruins, The Venom Crypts, and the Ziggurat Encampment. Entering The Venom Crypts is associated with unlocking the quest; if it has not appeared in your objectives, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and speak with Servi before continuing.

From Jungle Ruins, find the entrance to The Venom Crypts near the area waypoint and go inside. Game8’s quest guide identifies entering the crypts as the unlock condition, while Gamer Guides’ walkthrough directs players to speak with Servi to start the quest.
Find the corpse in the Den of the Serpent Priestess
Explore The Venom Crypts until you locate the Den of the Serpent Priestess. The corpse is in a three-pointed cavern reached through a narrow passage, with a checkpoint outside. Its placement is randomized, so the cavern and checkpoint are more useful than expecting it at a particular map coordinate.

Return to Servi and complete the objective
- Leave The Venom Crypts and return to the Ziggurat Encampment.
- Speak with Servi and give her the Corpse-Snake Venom.
- Follow the remaining quest prompt to take and consume the Venom Draught if that step appears in your version.
PoE2 Ref reproduces Servi’s dialogue after the handoff: “Heh heh. Drink this. A foul brew, but you’ll thank me… if you survive.” It is in-game NPC dialogue, not a guarantee about the effect of every version’s reward.

Reward details differ between references and may depend on the game version. Gamer Guides and PoE2 Ref list three Venom Draught choices, while the Path of Exile 2 Wiki search excerpt reports an Artificer’s Orb and notes that a mana-regeneration benefit changed when Cruel Difficulty was removed in version 0.3.0. The wiki page was not accessible, so the available information does not establish which reward set is currently live for every player. Check Servi’s reward interface before choosing.
