Before you start
“Tweasure Hunt” is a tutorial quest in the Guest Relations chain during WoW’s 20th Anniversary event. It follows “Da Stick of Revealing” and leads into “Thoughtful Pursuits.” You need the Torch of Pyrreth, an in-game toy used to reveal or activate the quest’s treasure encounters. The Torch is associated with the earlier “Secrets of Azeroth” content; check your quest objectives and inventory if you do not have it.
The coordinates below are from Thomas Cunliffe’s October 28, 2024 Siliconera walkthrough. TomTom addon users can enter them as waypoints; otherwise, use the landmarks and the in-game map.
Find all four treasures in Tanaris
1. Jeweled Eye — 40.89, 70.58
Travel to the ruins above the “Valley of the Watchers” map label. Find the large stone head with a jewel already set in one eye, then use the Torch of Pyrreth. The Jeweled Eye appears in the empty socket; collect it.

2. Cool Guts — 42.19, 71.94
From the large head, head southeast toward the edge of the ruins and look for a piece of amber. Use the torch beside it to summon a Tanaris Sandworm. Defeat the worm and loot Cool Guts.
3. Golden Chalice — 45.00, 64.43
Go to the second set of ruins west of The Gaping Chasm. Find the Half-Buried Chest beside the smallest wall and use the torch to unlock it. Loot the Golden Chalice from the chest.

4. Fragment of an Ancient Statue — 52.18, 45.41
At the ruins south of Gadgetzan, locate the inactive Ancient Statue and use the torch on it. Defeat the hostile statue, then loot the Fragment of an Ancient Statue.
Return to Maru
Once you have all four items, go back to Maru in the original quest area outside the Caverns of Time and turn in “Tweasure Hunt.” The next quest in the tutorial sequence is “Thoughtful Pursuits.”
What rewards does Tweasure Hunt give?
Reward listings vary by source and character state. Siliconera reports two Bronze Celebration Tokens for the turn-in; a Warcraft Wiki search-result listing also shows five Timewarped Badges and the Torch of Pyrreth when a character has not already obtained it from “Secrets of Azeroth.” Check the reward panel in game for the rewards available to your character rather than assuming every character receives the same items.
