To completely remove Ubisoft Connect from a Windows PC, first back up any local saves you want to keep and decide whether to retain installed games when Ubisoft’s uninstaller asks. Uninstall the launcher through Windows, then remove the Ubisoft-documented installation Cache folder if it remains and you want to clear the launcher’s cache. The default installation path is C:Program Files (x86)UbisoftUbisoft Game Launcher, but check your actual install location before deleting anything.
Before uninstalling, protect saves and choose what to keep
Ubisoft’s reinstall instructions recommend closing Ubisoft Connect and backing up save files before removing the launcher. The uninstaller may offer a choice to keep or remove installed games and local save files, so read its prompt carefully rather than assuming either will be preserved.
Ubisoft identifies a default savegames directory inside the Connect installation folder, but individual games may store saves elsewhere or use different save arrangements. If a save matters to you, make a separate backup before proceeding. Ubisoft’s save restoration guidance describes the default location and restoration context.
Uninstall Ubisoft Connect in Windows
These instructions apply to Ubisoft Connect PC on Windows 10 or Windows 11. Use whichever Windows route shows Ubisoft Connect in its installed-app list.

- Settings: Open Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps. Find Ubisoft Connect, select its menu, choose Uninstall, and follow Ubisoft’s prompts, including the choice about installed games and local saves.
- Start menu: Open Start > All apps, locate Ubisoft Connect, and use its uninstall option if available.
- Control Panel fallback: Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, select Ubisoft Connect, then choose Uninstall or Uninstall/Change.
Microsoft documents all three routes; Control Panel is useful when an app cannot be removed through Settings. See Microsoft’s Windows app-removal instructions for the supported paths.
Remove the Ubisoft-documented installation cache
Ubisoft’s reinstall guidance identifies the Cache folder in the Ubisoft Connect installation location as a cleanup step. Its default installation directory is C:Program Files (x86)UbisoftUbisoft Game Launcher. If that folder remains after uninstalling and complete cleanup is your goal, inspect the actual installation directory and remove its Cache folder. Do not delete a folder merely because its name looks similar; verify the path first.

Ubisoft’s separate cache troubleshooting article lists two default cache locations:
C:Program Files (x86)UbisoftUbisoft Game LaunchercacheC:Users<Username>AppDataLocalUbisoft Game Launchercache
That article’s procedure is for clearing cache while Connect is being used: log out, fully close Connect, rename the cache folders, and restart Connect so it can recreate empty folders. This is different from Ubisoft’s reinstall instruction to delete the installation Cache folder. If the launcher has already been uninstalled, do not restart it just to follow the troubleshooting procedure. Check actual folder names and locations before making changes. If Ubisoft Connect will not uninstall
- Restart Windows, then try one of the uninstall routes above.
- If Settings does not list Ubisoft Connect or removal fails there, try Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
- For Windows 10 problems such as incomplete uninstall data, Microsoft documents its Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter. Follow Microsoft’s current instructions at Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed.
Microsoft states that Windows 10 support ended on October 14, 2025. That is the operating-system support status Microsoft reports; it does not, by itself, establish that the documented troubleshooter cannot run.

The Ubisoft guidance covered here is for Ubisoft Connect PC and Windows paths; it does not establish a Ubisoft-specific Mac uninstall process or identify Mac leftovers. Apple’s general advice for Mac apps is to quit the app, use its own uninstaller if it has one, or move it to Trash and empty Trash. Apple cautions that deleting an app does not necessarily remove documents or other files created with it. Do not treat that general guidance as confirmation of a Mac version of Ubisoft Connect.
