DroidDeck’s official 0.3.0 release adds Lossless Scaling Frame Generation (LSFG), with 60, 90, and 120 FPS targets paced against the game’s frames. You need a compatible Android device, your own copy of Lossless Scaling from Steam, and a DroidDeck build that includes the feature. The official documentation does not specify the exact settings-menu path, so use the options shown in your installed build rather than following unverified click-by-click directions.
Check whether your device and installation are ready
LSFG is a feature of DroidDeck’s Steam integration, not a standalone Android frame-generation app. DroidDeck’s official README says the app does not include Lossless Scaling’s proprietary shaders. You must own and install Lossless Scaling through your Steam library; installing DroidDeck alone does not provide it.
The README lists Android 9 or newer and a supported Adreno GPU as requirements. It names Adreno 730 or newer and Adreno 8xx as supported families, and explicitly lists Mali, Xclipse, PowerVR, and Adreno 710 as unsupported. Android version by itself is not enough to establish compatibility. The project warns that validation is limited and that compatibility and performance vary by device. Check the current README and official compatibility information for your model before relying on LSFG.
DroidDeck’s documented installation sequence is:
- Install the APK from the project’s Releases.
- Install the Linux runtime.
- Press Play and sign in. Steam downloads on first launch.
- Before launching Steam, turn off Android’s “Restrict child processes” setting in Developer options.
On some Android 12 and 13 devices, Steam’s first launch may show a “Fix it for me” button. These are general DroidDeck setup requirements, not LSFG-specific settings.

Find LSFG in your installed DroidDeck build
The 0.3.0 release notes document LSFG integration, but do not identify the settings page or say whether the target is configured globally, per mode, or per game. Open the current DroidDeck build and inspect its available game or app settings for LSFG options. Do not assume menu directions from the separate LSFG-Android app apply: it is a different project, and its MediaProjection workflow is not DroidDeck’s documented Steam integration.
Confirm that your installed version actually exposes LSFG before troubleshooting a missing option. DroidDeck’s 0.3.0 release notes are the official record of the feature and its targets; the download page can be checked for current release information.

Choose an LSFG target using your display and game
DroidDeck 0.3.0 lists three LSFG targets: 60, 90, and 120 FPS. Its release description says generated frames are paced against the game’s frames. These figures are selectable targets, not measured performance results or a promise that a game will render natively at that rate.
Use the target choices actually present in your build. To choose among them, compare these constraints:

- Available LSFG target: Targets are version-specific; the 60, 90, and 120 FPS options are those documented for DroidDeck 0.3.0.
Lossless Scaling’s general guidance recommends at least 60 FPS in-game with a 120 Hz monitor for best quality. It also says 30 FPS with a 60 Hz display may work in some games at resolutions up to 1080p. Those are general LSFG recommendations, not tested DroidDeck settings or a guarantee of smooth results on a particular Android device. The sources establish no universal best target or controlled DroidDeck comparison across games and devices.

What to do if the option is missing or results disappoint
- LSFG does not appear: Check that the installed DroidDeck build includes the documented feature, and consult its current release information. The official notes do not establish a particular menu location.
- Steam or DroidDeck will not launch: Recheck the documented installation sequence and ensure “Restrict child processes” is off before launching Steam.
- Your device is unsupported: Check the GPU family as well as Android version. The official project excludes several GPU families and says validation is limited.
- Generated output is not smooth: Reassess the game’s sustained base frame rate and display refresh rate, then compare another available target. General LSFG guidance is not a device-specific guarantee, and no controlled DroidDeck LSFG benchmark establishes a universally reliable setting.
