To loop Bengali songs in a YouTube livestream with OBS, add your authorized local audio or video file as a Media Source, select Loop, check the audio and picture, then connect OBS to YouTube with the stream URL and stream key. For a playlist, use OBS’s VLC Video source with VLC installed. This keeps playback repeating only while the computer and network stay available; it does not clear music rights.
Before you set up the stream: confirm music and video rights
Make sure you have permission for the exact compositions, sound recordings, artwork, and footage you plan to broadcast. Permission to listen to a song privately or upload a video elsewhere does not automatically authorize a YouTube livestream or its archive. Confirm that your rights cover livestream distribution, the relevant territories, and any retained recording.
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. YouTube says that even licensed streams may be interrupted if the channel has not been added to the rights holder’s Content ID allowlist. Ask the rights holder to allowlist your channel when applicable; a license alone does not guarantee that YouTube’s systems will not interrupt the broadcast. Set up a loop in OBS
For one song or one prepared video
- Create a scene: In OBS, add or select a scene for the broadcast.
- Add the file: In the Sources dock, click +, choose Media Source, and select the local audio or video file. OBS lists common supported formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, MP3, AAC, OGG, and WAV. See the OBS Media Sources guide.
- Enable looping: Turn on Loop in the Media Source properties. When playback reaches the end, OBS starts the file again.
- Check the preview and audio: Start playback and watch the Audio Mixer meters. Confirm the picture is visible and framed as intended, and that the meters move when the song plays. OBS layers sources according to their order in the Sources list, so move a source if another layer hides it.
For a playlist of several tracks
Use OBS’s VLC Video source to add multiple files in the order you want and enable playlist looping. VLC must be installed on the same computer. OBS notes that a 64-bit OBS installation needs 64-bit VLC. For a single file, the built-in Media Source is simpler. See OBS’s media source documentation.

Fix missing or incorrect audio
If the Audio Mixer meters do not move, or OBS captures the wrong device, open Settings → Audio and select the required devices manually. Then play the source again and verify the meters respond. Check that the intended source is audible and that the preview is not blank, cropped, or obscured before connecting to YouTube. OBS’s Quick Start Guide covers initial audio and scene setup.
Connect OBS to YouTube and start the broadcast
- Open YouTube Live Control Room: In YouTube Studio, choose Create → Go Live. Configure a new broadcast or select the scheduled event you intend to use.
- Connect OBS: If OBS offers YouTube as a streaming service, select it. Otherwise, copy the stream URL and stream key shown in YouTube Live Control Room into OBS’s stream settings. Treat the stream key like a password: someone with it may be able to send a broadcast to your channel.
- Send a test signal: Start streaming from OBS and check YouTube’s preview. For a scheduled broadcast, wait for the preview in Live Control Room and click Go live there when you are ready; sending a signal from OBS is not the same as starting the scheduled event publicly.
- End and review the archive: Stop the stream when finished and check the resulting recording. YouTube’s encoder guide says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Archived livestreams may receive Content ID claims after the broadcast, so make sure your permissions cover archive use as well as live transmission.
Follow YouTube’s encoder setup guide for the current Live Control Room connection flow. YouTube says first-time live-stream enablement may take up to 24 hours, so enable and test livestreaming well before a planned event.

Test before going public
OBS recommends running a test for a few minutes before your first stream. Listen for audio, check the picture, and confirm the connection is stable. The OBS Auto-Configuration Wizard can suggest initial streaming settings based on your computer and network. During a test, watch OBS’s dropped-frame indicator: increasing dropped frames can mean the connection is unstable or cannot sustain the selected bitrate. OBS describes this and other connection issues in its Help Portal.
What a local OBS loop depends on
With this setup, OBS plays the file from your computer and sends the stream over your internet connection. The computer must remain on and running OBS, and the network must remain available for the broadcast to continue. If you need the loop to keep running after you turn your computer off, a cloud service is an optional alternative rather than a required part of OBS configuration.
