Contact PlayStation Support for a Hacked or Compromised Account

If your PlayStation account may be compromised, start with PlayStation’s official account recovery guide. If you can use the email address linked to the account, try self-service recovery. If you cannot access that email or a registered passkey device—or someone changed your sign-in ID, online ID, or password—contact PlayStation through its Online Assistant.

Choose the right recovery route

Your situation	What to do

You cannot access the linked email or a usable passkey device	Contact PlayStation through the Online Assistant.

These are the routes described by PlayStation’s U.S. support pages. Contact options may differ by country, so use the official support site for your region. The reviewed U.S. pages identify the Online Assistant and issue-specific online tools, but do not establish a universal phone number, chat schedule, or response-time guarantee.

Recover the account if you still have access to its email

Open the PlayStation Account Management sign-in page and select Trouble Signing In? > Recover Your Account.
Enter the account’s sign-in ID, which is its email address.
Open the secure link PlayStation emails to you, provide the requested information, and create a new password.

The recovery email may take a few minutes to arrive. If you cannot access the linked email, cannot receive a password-reset message, or cannot use a registered passkey device, use the Online Assistant instead of repeating the self-service process.

Contact the Online Assistant if recovery details changed or are unavailable

Go to PlayStation’s account recovery page and follow its Online Assistant route. PlayStation specifically directs users there when they do not recognize a sign-in ID, online ID, or password change. The support contact guide also directs users to select their issue and use the available online support tools.

If the email account connected to PlayStation may also be compromised, change that email password first if you can. If you cannot secure it, contact the email provider. This helps protect the recovery channel as well as the PlayStation account.

Check unfamiliar charges separately

An unexpected payment does not by itself establish that the account was hacked. Review your PlayStation Store transaction history and subscription settings; recurring subscription charges or another account using the same payment method may explain it. If the charge remains unexplained, follow PlayStation’s unauthorized-payment and compromised-account guidance and contact support. Refund eligibility is subject to PlayStation’s cancellation policy; a refund is not guaranteed.

If the console was stolen

PlayStation advises signing out of your account on all devices, deactivating consoles, and considering removal of payment methods. If you cannot access the account or change its sign-in method, contact support promptly through the official recovery route.

Secure the account after you regain access

Review the account’s security settings and make sure its sign-in and recovery details are yours.
Use a strong password and keep account details private. PlayStation’s security guidance says, “Never share your account details with anyone else.”
Check recent transactions and subscriptions for activity you do not recognize.

Use PlayStation’s official site and support tools rather than third-party “account recovery” services. PlayStation warns that sharing account details can put the account at risk.
