To convert a Worlds match time, use the start time and time zone shown on Riot’s current schedule, then convert it using the UTC offsets that apply in both locations on that match date. Check the date as well as the clock: daylight-saving changes can shift the offset or move the match to the next calendar day.
How to convert a Worlds match time
- Find the match date and start time. Check Riot’s Worlds 2026 Primer and confirm the latest start time against its venue event policies, which include updated broadcast starts.
- Copy the source time zone exactly. PDT and PST, for example, have different offsets; so do CDT and CST, and CEST and CET. Don’t treat an abbreviation as having one fixed offset throughout the year.
- Check both UTC offsets for the match date. Use the source and destination locations’ offsets on that specific date. The National Institute of Standards and Technology explains that local time is based on an offset from UTC and that daylight-saving changes affect the offset: NIST Local Time FAQs.
- Convert through UTC. Subtract the source UTC offset from the source time, then add the destination UTC offset. Treat offsets as signed values: destination local time = source local time − source UTC offset + destination UTC offset.
- Check for a date change. If the result crosses midnight, adjust the local calendar date. Confirm the result in a calendar or time-zone converter set to your destination city and the match date.
Example: Play-Ins on October 15
Riot lists Play-Ins at 11:00 AM PDT. On that October date, PDT is UTC−7, so 11:00 AM PDT is 18:00 UTC. In a location on UTC+1 that day, the match starts at 7:00 PM local time on October 15. This is an offset-based conversion; a different destination offset or date can produce a different local time.

Why October and November times need different checks
Daylight-saving time changes local UTC offsets. NIST gives Central Daylight Time (CDT) as UTC−5 and Central Standard Time (CST) as UTC−6; the abbreviations are not interchangeable. For the United States in 2026, daylight saving time runs from March 8 at 2 a.m. to November 1 at 2 a.m. local time, according to NIST’s daylight-saving rules. That means October U.S. daylight-zone times and November standard-time listings can use different offsets.

Europe also changes clock designation during the tournament: Riot’s primer lists CEST for October 23–24 and CET from October 25 onward. Use the label and date on Riot’s schedule rather than carrying an October offset forward into later matches.

Abbreviations such as CST can refer to different time zones in different parts of the world. For a personal conversion, select a city in your destination region and enter the match date; this lets the calendar or converter apply the relevant local offset and daylight-saving rules. If the result shows the following day, keep that date when adding the match to your calendar.
