Dark Knight Armor in The Forge is a chance-based Heavy armor result, not a guaranteed output from a single recipe. Gaming guides recommend combining Demonite, Eye, Mythril, Obsidian, and Uranium; the recipes below are reported suggestions, not confirmed current-version formulas. Because the named combinations use rare ores and guide counts differ, check the live game or a current community reference before committing valuable materials.
Reported Dark Knight Armor recipes
GameSpot’s January 19, 2026 guide lists the following slot-specific combinations. The Spike reports matching or closely aligned recipes. These are recommendations from secondary guides; they are not independently tested here, and the guides do not establish guaranteed results.

All Things How gives a different leggings layout with the same listed counts—10 Demonite, 2 Eye, 8 Mythril, 9 Obsidian, and 9 Uranium—so the guides do not show a meaningful count difference for that piece. Its table also includes some Heavy layouts using Lightite or Darkryte. Those, too, are guide recommendations rather than verified outcomes. GameSpot’s armor recipes, The Spike’s armor recipes, and All Things How’s armor guide are secondary references, not an official current recipe table.
How to try a recipe at the forge
- Gather the listed ores for the armor slot you want. These are in-game materials; no physical item is needed.
- At the forge, select Armor and add your ores. All Things How says armor crafting requires at least three ores and describes roughly 30–40 ores as the Heavy range. That general range does not match every named recipe above, including the 20-ore helmet layout, so do not treat it as a universal minimum for these formulas.
- Complete the forging minigame. The Spike identifies ore type, ore quantity, minigame performance, and random chance as factors affecting the result.
- Check the result before deciding whether to spend more materials. A Heavy craft can produce a different slot or set than the one targeted, so another attempt may be needed; the guides do not establish a fixed number of attempts.
Why the result can differ from the target
PCGamesN describes Knight and Dark Knight pieces as outcomes within the Heavy armor pool, rather than guaranteed outputs tied to a secret recipe. Its December 9, 2025 guide says Heavy recipes may return different slots and sets. That makes the combinations best understood as ways to pursue an item, not deterministic crafting instructions. PCGamesN’s armor recipe guide also lists simpler baseline recipes using Cobalt, Diamond, Titanium, and Lapis Lazuli for Knight/Dark Knight slots; it says these can improve the chance of a target piece but may still yield another slot or tier.

Choosing between rare ores and a baseline attempt
The named Demonite/Eye/Mythril/Obsidian/Uranium layouts are the most direct published recommendations for pursuing Dark Knight pieces, but their rare-ore cost is significant. If you are still testing the Heavy pool or want to conserve scarce materials, consider the lower-rarity baseline approach PCGamesN lists before spending higher-value ores. The available guides do not supply a current official probability table, so there is no substantiated way to compare exact odds or guarantee that one approach is more efficient.
All Things How reports base-HP boosts of 18.75% for the helmet, 25% for the chestplate, and 21.875% for leggings, and reports a 1-in-2 chance for Dark Knight variants within the Heavy pool. The Spike also lists 1/2 for its named slot recipes. These are secondary-guide figures, not independently verified current-game probabilities; treat them as attributed estimates rather than assurances.

What to verify before spending ores
- Confirm the live forge still accepts the combination and produces the intended Heavy pool.
- Check whether the slot-specific recipe has changed since the guides were published in December 2025 and January 2026.
- Compare the possible armor result with the value of keeping the rare ores for other crafts.
No official current recipe table or independent live crafting test establishes that these exact counts remain current. The recipes and odds above are therefore guide-reported, and game updates may change them.
