To run a 24/7 meditation or bhajan stream, send a continuous audio-and-visual feed to YouTube Live using an encoder—or use a cloud service that plays uploaded videos. A YouTube playlist page by itself is not a live broadcast. Before you start, confirm your channel can livestream and that you have permission for every recording and composition you plan to use. Then test the full stream, monitor it, and plan around YouTube’s archive limits for broadcasts longer than 12 hours.
What you need for a continuous devotional stream
A livestream is an encoded feed sent to YouTube, not a playlist that viewers happen to play on YouTube. For a playlist-style broadcast, combine your audio with a suitable visual layer—such as a still image or other visuals you have permission to use—and send the result through an encoder. YouTube supports several live-streaming methods, including encoder-based streaming; its guidance describes software encoding and hardware encoders. A dedicated computer is one possible setup, not a universal requirement. YouTube’s live-stream tips and encoder setup guide explain the available approaches.
- A verified YouTube channel that is eligible to livestream.
- A prepared playlist of audio and visuals, with the rights needed for live use.
- An encoder-based setup, either software on a computer or a hardware encoder.
- A reliable internet connection with enough upload capacity for the chosen settings.
- A plan for monitoring the stream and handling replays if you need an archive.
Check eligibility and clear the music first
Confirm that the channel can go live
YouTube’s current guidance says livestreaming requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days; streamers must be at least 16. Check YouTube’s live-stream setup requirements before scheduling a broadcast.
Get permission for the exact recordings you will broadcast
Being able to listen to a bhajan or meditation track on YouTube does not grant permission to rebroadcast it. A devotional composition may be old or traditional while a particular recording still has separate rights. Confirm that your permission covers livestreaming, the countries where the stream will be available, and any monetization you intend. If you want to keep replays, check that the permission also covers archived video.

- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the creator to have the rights needed for live content, including music rights. A “free” label or credit in the description does not by itself establish that you can stream a recording. YouTube scans live streams for third-party material, and a stream may be interrupted even when you have a license if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel through Content ID. Ask the rights holder about the relevant recording and composition, the license scope, and how to arrange allowlisting. See YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams and safe-music guidance.
Choose an encoder setup that suits your operation
Both a software encoder running on a computer and a hardware encoder can send a feed to YouTube. Choose based on your budget, familiarity, required resolution and bitrate, local recording needs, and what you will do if power, network, or the encoder fails. YouTube’s official setup guidance covers both broad encoder types, but does not establish a particular brand, model, computer specification, or uptime guarantee. Test the actual setup rather than assuming a device will run unattended reliably.

| Setup | Useful when | Trade-offs to consider |
|---|---|---|
| Software encoder on a computer | You want a configurable playlist-style production and can keep the computer, encoder, and internet connection operating. | Plan for computer restarts, power and network interruptions, encoder recovery, and local recording if you need it. Required computer specifications depend on the chosen output settings and software. |
| Hardware encoder | You prefer a dedicated encoding device and its workflow fits your production. | Compare initial cost, supported settings, recovery behavior, and recording options for the specific device. YouTube does not specify a universal device or performance guarantee. |
| Cloud playback service | You want uploaded videos to keep playing without leaving a computer running at home. | Check the service’s platform support, file limits, pricing, and recovery behavior against your needs. StreamNeo’s YouTube-only option is described below. |
Set up and start the YouTube broadcast
- Prepare the playlist and visuals. Arrange the tracks in the desired order and add a visual layer suitable for the broadcast. Check rights for both audio and visuals, including any material displayed between tracks.
- Create or schedule a live event in YouTube Studio. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup instructions to create the event and obtain its stream URL and stream key.
- Protect the stream key. Enter the stream URL and key in your encoder. Treat the key like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your stream. Do not publish it or include it in screenshots.
- Configure the encoder. Choose an output resolution and bitrate your encoder and upload connection can sustain. YouTube’s current general RTMP/RTMPS guidance specifies 128 Kbps stereo audio. Its encoder guidance recommends a keyframe frequency of 2 seconds and says not to exceed 4 seconds. Check YouTube’s stream settings for the current requirements for your selected format.
- Leave upload headroom. YouTube’s current streaming tips recommend that available upload bandwidth exceed the stream bitrate by 20%. Treat this as platform guidance, not a guarantee against congestion or outages. Test from the actual connection you intend to use.
- Check the preview before going live. In YouTube’s Live Control Room, confirm that the incoming feed appears and that audio and visuals are correct. Start the broadcast from the encoder when the preview and event are ready.
- Verify the public watch page. Open the stream on a phone and a desktop device. Confirm that viewers can hear the audio, see the intended visuals, and are not seeing a private test or the wrong event.
For a simple encoder workflow, YouTube’s encoder setup guide and stream settings guide are the references for event connection and technical settings.
Monitor the stream and plan for interruptions
A 24/7 broadcast needs operational attention. YouTube recommends testing and continuously monitoring streams; use its streaming tips and live-streaming tips as a starting point.

- Check the Live Control Room and public watch page after launch and during operation.
- Listen for silence, clipping, sudden volume changes, or a playlist that has stopped advancing.
- Watch for dropped frames, connection warnings, and encoder or power failures.
- Keep a local recording if you need a replay independent of YouTube’s automatic archive.
- Have a recovery plan for a lost internet connection, a restarted computer, or a YouTube interruption.
A software encoder running at home depends on the computer, power, and connection staying available. YouTube’s official guidance recommends testing and monitoring, but does not promise uninterrupted operation for a particular setup. Decide who will respond to an alert or outage if the stream must remain continuous.
Understand the replay and DVR limits of a 24-hour stream
A single all-day broadcast is not a dependable way to create a complete replay archive. YouTube says a stream under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but if it exceeds 12 hours it may not be captured at all. Its archive guidance gives the limit; the DVR guidance also says rewind capability may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
If complete replay coverage matters, use planned separate sessions and/or make local recordings, then verify the schedule against current YouTube settings. Splitting broadcasts can create gaps or separate replay entries if the next session does not start promptly, so test the handoff. Local recordings add storage and operational work, but avoid relying solely on a long livestream being archived.
