Live Control Room manages the YouTube event; a computer, hardware encoder, or cloud service must supply the ongoing feed. YouTube does not promise uninterrupted 24/7 uptime, so plan for outages, copyright checks, and the 12-hour archive limit.
1. Prepare the channel, content, and rights
Enable live streaming before your launch
Verify the channel and enable live streaming in advance. YouTube says first-time enablement can take up to 24 hours. Its live-stream requirements include no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and streamers must be at least 16. Check YouTube’s current live-streaming requirements before scheduling a first broadcast.
Clear every song and visual for live use
Make a rights list for each song, recording, performance, image, and video segment in the playlist. A devotional purpose does not itself give permission to rebroadcast a recording, and finding a track on another YouTube channel does not establish that you can use it. Rights in a composition, arrangement, sound recording, performance, and visual may belong to different parties.
YouTube says all live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in another live broadcast. If it detects a match, it can show a placeholder, warn the creator, and interrupt or terminate the feed if the material remains. A licensed track may still be interrupted if the rightsholder has not allowlisted your channel through Content ID. Ask the relevant label, distributor, or rights owner to allowlist the channel where required. Archived broadcasts can also receive Content ID claims after the live event. See YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.

- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Confirm separately that your permissions cover both the live broadcast and any replay, as well as the territories where the stream will be available. The status of any specific Hindi devotional recording depends on its owners and licence terms; do not assume that a composition’s age or religious context clears a particular recording.
2. Choose how to supply the continuous feed
For prerecorded bhajans, kirtan, Gurbani, or other devotional programming, you need a source that plays the prepared material and an encoder that sends it to YouTube. The source can be software on a computer, standalone hardware, or a cloud service. The right fit depends on whether you need overlays or audio/video inputs, whether a computer and local network can remain on, how you will recover from interruptions, and whether replay archives matter.

- Software encoder: OBS is listed by YouTube as free, open-source streaming software. The computer running it and the connection still need to remain operational for a continuous local stream.
- Standalone hardware: YouTube lists the AJA HELO Plus as a hardware encoder with direct YouTube Live streaming and scheduled prerecorded-media capability. It is an option to investigate if you want dedicated equipment; it may be more than a basic playlist stream needs.
- Cloud service: YouTube’s verified encoder directory lists Gyre as a cloud-based service for 24/7 prerecorded-video streaming. Check the service’s current features and terms for your needs.
YouTube’s directory identifies encoder categories and options; it does not provide independent comparative testing or guarantee that any setup will stay live without interruption. See YouTube’s encoder setup guide and directory.
3. Create the stream in YouTube Live Control Room
- Open Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, choose Create → Go Live. On the Stream tab, create a stream or reuse a previous configuration. Add the title, description, and visibility, and schedule the broadcast if needed.
- Copy the connection details. Copy the server URL (also called the stream URL) and stream key shown in Live Control Room into the matching streaming settings in your encoder. Treat the key as sensitive: anyone with access to it may be able to send a feed to your stream.
- Start the encoder and check the preview. Start playback and encoding. Confirm that the incoming preview appears in Live Control Room and inspect both picture and audio before the public start.
- Start the YouTube broadcast. For a scheduled event, click Go Live in Live Control Room when the preview is ready. Keep the encoder and source playing while the event is live.
- Test before the public launch. Run an unlisted test stream to check audio levels, image framing, playback continuity, and the connection between encoder and Control Room. YouTube for Artists recommends an unlisted test, particularly for higher-production events; its live-stream guidance is at YouTube for Artists.
4. Decide whether to stream horizontally, vertically, or both
YouTube Live Control Room supports horizontal 16:9 and vertical 9:16 viewing, including dual streaming. A vertical version may be discoverable in the Shorts feed. You must set up vertical streaming before the broadcast starts; it cannot be added after the stream is underway. If sending both formats from an encoder, use the corresponding stream keys and make sure the feeds match.

Review the vertical crop in advance. A centered or cropped rendition can cut off devotional text, subtitles, or important imagery. Choose a layout that keeps the content legible in each format. YouTube’s current format details are in its live-streaming help.
5. Plan for continuity, recovery, and replays
“24/7” describes the intended availability, not a guarantee that YouTube, a local computer, or a network connection will never disconnect. With a local encoder, the source media, computer, encoder, and internet connection all need to keep operating. Monitor stream health and have a plan to restart the feed after a failure; a cloud service may reduce dependence on equipment at home, but no setup should be treated as an uptime guarantee.

YouTube automatically archives streams shorter than 12 hours. Do not rely on one stream lasting longer than 12 hours to produce a complete replay. If an archive matters, plan shorter broadcast sessions and retain a separate local recording; check the current Studio behavior before relying on a particular archive workflow.
