To make a YouTube playlist of recorded product FAQs, open one FAQ video, choose More > Save > Create new playlist, name it, select its visibility, and create it. Add the other FAQ recordings from each video’s Save menu, then reorder the playlist so viewers can move from setup to common questions and troubleshooting.
Create the playlist and add your FAQ videos
- Open one of the recorded FAQ videos on YouTube.
- Select More > Save > Create new playlist. YouTube’s desktop help documents this route from a video’s watch page: Create and manage playlists – Computer.
- Enter a clear name, such as Product FAQs, and choose whether the playlist should be public, unlisted, or private.
- Select Create.
- For each remaining FAQ recording, open its watch page, select More > Save, and choose the playlist you created.
- Open the playlist and drag videos into the order you want. A helpful sequence is general setup, common use questions, troubleshooting, then advanced topics. This is an editorial suggestion, not a YouTube requirement.
Choose visibility for the playlist and videos
Pick the playlist’s privacy setting according to how viewers should find it: public for broad discovery, unlisted when you intend to share the link, or private for restricted access. Check each video’s visibility as well as the playlist’s. A playlist does not grant viewers access to a private video they are not permitted to watch.
Check livestream archives before adding them
If your FAQ recordings originated as YouTube livestreams, confirm that each archive exists before building the playlist. In YouTube Studio, check Content > Live, then verify that each recording is visible to the intended audience. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. It recommends keeping a local backup; see Archive live streams and Promote your live stream.
Handle Made for Kids videos and playlist limits
YouTube says a Made for Kids video or channel cannot be added to a playlist from the homepage. You can still add a video from search results; see Create and manage playlists. YouTube also documents a daily limit on public playlists created across YouTube, YouTube Music, and the YouTube API. Advanced feature access can increase that limit; the Android help page has details: Create & manage playlists – Android.
