Use Qianye’s warning colors to choose your defense: parry red-flashing attacks and dodge gold or yellow ones. Wait for her attack strings to finish before committing to damage. In the later white-form arena, the guide describes health draining over time, so keep attacking and deflecting to recover some health and save healing for that section.
Where to find Qianye
Qianye is the final boss of Chapter One: Heaven Has No Pier, according to Into Indie Games’ November 18, 2025 walkthrough. It says Yi Dao assists during the opening fight. If you leave the quest area, track the quest to return to the arena. After the story encounter, the guide says the campaign version can be revisited through the Blissful Retreat entry in the campaign interface; menu paths and rewards may change with updates.
Prepare without treating suggested targets as requirements
The Into Indie Games author suggests about 5,500 Mastery, world level 4, character level above 35, maxed weapon martial-arts training, three medicine charges, and the Guarding Qi Core talent. These are recommendations from that guide, not confirmed minimums or guarantees of success.
If the fight is still punishing, use exploration and in-game progression to improve your equipment and healing capacity before trying again.

Choose parry or dodge from the warning color
- Red flash: Deflect the attack. The detailed walkthrough calls out a second red flash on some attacks; a separate combat mechanics reference, checked July 19, 2026, also identifies red warnings as cues for a Perfect Parry.
- Gold or yellow flash: Dodge out of the attack’s path or to the side. The mechanics reference describes these warnings as attacks to dodge rather than guard.
Respond to the thrown-scythe dive
After Qianye throws her scythe, she may launch an aerial dive. The Into Indie Games guide says Acupuncture Mystic Art can interrupt the dive and stagger her. If you miss that timing, dodge: the guide says the dive cannot be deflected. Watch for the area swing that follows.
Wait for the full attack string before attacking
Qianye uses close-range scythe swings, vanish attacks, and longer combos. The detailed walkthrough recommends deflecting the second hit of the vanish sequence when possible to open a recovery window. A successful parry does not necessarily end a red-form combo, so avoid committing to a long attack while the sequence may still be going.

When she is staggered, land regular hits first and use your finishing move near the end of the stagger window. This approach uses the vulnerable period for damage instead of spending it on the finisher too early.
Keep moving and attacking in the white-form arena
The Into Indie Games walkthrough describes a later arena where Qianye appears in white form and your health drains continuously. It says successful attacks and deflections restore some health. The guide also describes her teleporting frequently, so use skills to maintain pressure rather than waiting passively for a long opening.

Save at least one medicine charge for this section. If you stagger her, deal regular damage before the finishing blow; the guide says the finisher also restores health.

Do not rely on a universal phase count or transition percentage. The detailed walkthrough describes two health bars, a red form, a white mirrored form in the draining arena, and a return to red near the end. A separate campaign walkthrough search result summarizes the fight as two phases, but that page could not be opened. These descriptions do not establish a consistent phase count or exact transition thresholds across versions.
