If you’re creating the experience, you can set camera options in Studio or build a custom camera. The right fix depends on whether you want less automatic tracking, a forced first-person view, or a truly fixed camera.
Change camera mode as a player

Open the in-experience menu and select Settings.

Find the camera mode setting and choose between Classic and Follow, if both options are available. Roblox explains the in-experience settings in its Settings and Help guide.
Classic keeps the camera in place unless you adjust it manually. Follow turns the camera with your avatar as it moves. You can switch modes only when the experience developer has not locked the camera mode.
This setting changes how the camera behaves; it is not a universal switch that disables all camera input. In the default third-person Classic mode, Roblox documents camera rotation using right-click-and-drag on mouse, tap-and-drag on mobile, the secondary thumbstick on gamepad, or the left and right arrow keys. Turn off Shift Lock
If you mean Shift Lock rather than camera movement generally, look in the experience’s Settings for Shift Lock Switch. When enabled, pressing the keyboard’s Shift key toggles between camera modes. Whether this option is available depends on the experience’s settings.
Why the camera setting may be unavailable
Roblox lets experience developers restrict camera choices. If you cannot select a different mode, the experience may have locked it; a player cannot override that restriction from the standard settings menu. Roblox documents developer control over computer camera movement through DevComputerCameraMovementMode, which includes UserChoice, Classic, Follow, Orbital, and CameraToggle.

Set camera behavior in an experience you own
In Roblox Studio, select StarterPlayer in Explorer and configure its camera properties. Roblox’s camera guide covers these settings and custom camera behavior.
Choose a standard camera mode
CameraMode supports Classic and LockFirstPerson. Classic gives players the standard camera behavior; LockFirstPerson forces a first-person view. The latter does not make the camera stationary: it locks the perspective to the avatar’s first-person view. Roblox’s camera tutorial shows how to set this option.

Restrict zoom
To prevent zooming, set CameraMinZoomDistance and CameraMaxZoomDistance to the same value. This fixes the zoom distance, not necessarily the camera’s position or every other form of movement.
Build a fixed or custom camera
If the experience needs a camera that stays at a particular viewpoint, or follows rules beyond the built-in modes, configure the desired behavior yourself. Roblox documents using CameraType = Scriptable to replace the default camera scripts and control the camera through your own script. A first-person lock or zoom restriction alone does not create a motionless view.
