Clean it gently by hand rather than washing or drying it with heat. Before buying a display case, measure your completed build and base: LEGO publishes the model’s height, but not a complete case-fit footprint.
Choose a safe display location
LEGO advises against storing bricks in direct sunlight or where temperatures exceed 104°F (40°C), warning that they may become brittle or discolored over time. It also identifies direct sunlight, cigarette smoke, and extreme temperature variations as factors that can gradually affect brick colors. Keep the assembled tree in a dry spot away from direct sun and heat sources; these precautions follow LEGO’s general brick-care guidance and do not guarantee a particular lifespan or prevent all fading. - Avoid a sunny windowsill, even if the room is otherwise cool.
- Keep the model away from heaters and other hot locations.
- Avoid spots exposed to cigarette smoke or large temperature swings.
Measure the build before choosing a case
Set 77092 is a 2,500-piece adult display model with two build options: Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild. LEGO’s US product page lists the Ocarina of Time version at over 33 cm (13 in.) tall and the Breath of the Wild version at over 31 cm (12 in.) tall. Those are height figures, not a complete case-fit measurement. Measure your assembled version—including its base and any projecting branches—before ordering an enclosure. Decide whether an enclosure is worth it
A specialist retailer lists an acrylic display case made for set 77092 and describes it as “UV Protected & Dust Proof.” Those are the seller’s claims; no independent UV-transmission test or quantified dust rating is established here. Before buying, confirm the current dimensions and UV specification with the seller, and consider whether the material, access for cleaning, and stability suit your display. A case can make dust management easier, but do not treat a seller’s description as proof of a measured level of protection. The listing is at iDisplayit’s LEGO 77092 display case page.

Clean the assembled model gently
LEGO recommends cleaning bricks by hand with water no hotter than 104°F (40°C) and a soft cloth or sponge. Mild detergent may be used, followed by a clear-water rinse. For a built display, avoid soaking the structure: use a lightly damp soft cloth or sponge, work gently around the branches and details, and keep liquid away from places that are difficult to dry. - Do not machine-wash or put LEGO pieces in a dishwasher.
- Do not dry the model in an oven, microwave, or with a hair dryer.
- Do not dry it in direct sunlight.
Store spare or disassembled pieces separately
If you take the set apart or have spare pieces, LEGO lists clear storage bins and plastic drawer systems among common ways to store bricks. These are practical for loose parts, but they are not a display-case substitute for the assembled Great Deku Tree.
