How to do a Low Driven shot in FC 26
- Press and hold your shot input to set the power.
- Press the same shot input a second time to trigger Low Driven.
EA describes the FC 26 input as a double-tap: power up the shot, then press the shot button again. This is the FC 26 Low Driven modifier, not the older Timed Finishing mechanic; EA says Timed Finishing was removed with this change. EA’s FC 26 gameplay notes explain the change.

Find your shot button
On Classic controls, the shot button is Circle on PlayStation and B on Xbox. These labels are conditional on that control scheme: presets and remapped controls can use different inputs. Check Practice Arena > pause > Button Help, or pause a match and open Settings > Basic Controls. EA’s shooting guide gives the current help route, and its official controls video demonstrates Classic PlayStation and Xbox inputs.
Which shot types can use Low Driven?
EA lists Low Driven for most shot types. For combinations, enter the relevant modifier and shot input for your control scheme, build power, then press the shot input again. The listed Classic-control combinations are:

Choose it when you want to keep the ball low, particularly for a close-range chance or a one-on-one. Those are EA’s situational recommendations, not a promise that the shot will beat the goalkeeper. EA’s shot-selection guidance distinguishes the options by the situation:

- Finesse: use when you want curl.
- Chip: consider it when the goalkeeper has moved away from the goal line.
- Power: use when there is enough space for the longer wind-up.
- Regular: a straightforward option for ordinary chances.
Practical scoring tips
- Read the keeper and the lane. Check the goalkeeper’s position, the open shooting lane, your distance and angle before choosing a low shot.
- Account for the animation. A Power Shot has a longer wind-up, so consider whether you have time and space before using it.
- Adjust power to distance. EA’s general regular-shot guidance favors lower power when closer to goal. That is not a published Low Driven-specific power threshold.
- Aim for the opportunity, not a fixed formula. EA’s official guidance does not establish a best power-bar percentage, a universal target corner, or a comparative conversion rate for Low Driven shots.
