Does NBA 2K25 work on Windows 11?

2K’s NBA 2K25-specific requirements officially list Windows 10 64-bit, not Windows 11. That means Windows 11 should not be described as explicitly certified for this particular release. 2K’s general Windows 11 compatibility note explains that a game’s omission from a compatibility list does not necessarily mean it will not run, but it does not provide an NBA 2K25-specific guarantee.

If you are already using Windows 11, use a fully updated installation and current graphics drivers, then test the game through Steam. If you are using Windows 10, remember that Microsoft ended standard support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025; normal security and technical support now require an applicable Extended Security Updates arrangement. Choose an existing Steam library

1. From the installation prompt, open the destination selector.
2. Choose a Steam library located on the internal SSD.
3. Confirm that the selected drive has enough available space.
4. Start the installation.

Add an SSD as a Steam library location

If the SSD is not listed:

1. Open Steam.
2. Go to Steam → Settings → Storage.
3. Select the + button to add a library location.

• Pause other Steam downloads and large cloud synchronizations.
• Temporarily test without a VPN.
• Check whether antivirus or firewall software is interfering with Steam.

The game downloads but will not launch

Try these steps in order:

1. Restart Windows and then restart Steam.
2. Install pending Windows updates.
3. Install the latest driver available for your NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel graphics card.
4. Confirm that the processor supports AVX2 and that the graphics card supports DirectX feature level 12.0.
5. Verify the installation files in Steam:
   1. Open Library.
   2. Right-click NBA 2K25.
