You can install the global PC version of AION 2 through the official PURPLE PC launcher or Steam. PURPLE’s setup is to install the launcher, open its STORE, select AION 2, then choose the game-install control in the game lobby. Before downloading, check your PC against the published requirements and confirm the current access window in your region.
Choose an official PC download route
AION 2’s official community describes the global version as PC-only. The two listed PC routes are NCSOFT’s PURPLE launcher and Steam. Storefront availability can vary by region, so check the local listing before installing.
- PURPLE PC: Download the launcher from the official AION 2 download page. This route uses PURPLE’s STORE and the AION 2 game lobby to install the game.
- Steam: Open the official AION 2 Steam listing and follow the listing or Steam client prompts to install. If the page asks you to confirm your age, complete that step in Steam or on the store page.
Install AION 2 with PURPLE PC
- Download and run the PURPLE PC installer from the official AION 2 download page.
- Open PURPLE and select STORE.
- Choose AION 2 from the store.
- In the AION 2 game lobby, select the game-install control and follow the prompts.
The official instructions do not give a universal download duration. The time required will depend on your connection and system; allow the launcher to finish its installation rather than relying on a promised time.
Install through Steam
- Find AION 2 in Steam using the official store listing.
- Use the install option shown by the listing or Steam client, then follow Steam’s prompts to choose an install location and begin the download.
- Wait for Steam to finish installing the game before launching it from your library.
Steam’s system-requirements wording differs slightly from the PURPLE page. Use the requirements below as the current PURPLE-published reference, and compare them with the live listing for the platform you plan to use.

Check your PC requirements and storage
The official PURPLE requirements page lists these specifications for AION 2:

Make sure 100 GB is free on the drive where you intend to install the game. An SSD is recommended, not listed as mandatory. If you do not have enough free space, make room or choose another suitable drive; the published requirements do not specify a particular SSD type or model.

Check whether you can play yet
Access depends on the current launch phase and your region. The official AION 2 Steam Community announcement scheduled the global launch for October 5, 2026, while Founder’s Pack holders had advanced access before then. That announcement said Founder’s Pack availability would end October 5 at 8:00 AM PDT / 17:00 CEST. These are dated 2026 launch details, not permanent access rules; check the current official AION 2 Steam Community announcements and your regional store listing for the latest status.
