Netflix games install as separate apps from Google Play or the Apple App Store. Find a game in Netflix or search for it in your device’s app store, then install it there. To remove a game, use the store or your device’s app-removal controls—not Netflix. Before deleting it, check whether its progress is saved to your Netflix profile or only on the device.
What you need before downloading
Netflix requires an active membership, an internet connection for downloading and installing, enough free storage, and a compatible device. Requirements vary by game, and Netflix does not give one storage-size figure that applies to every title. Check the individual game’s Netflix support page for its device and operating-system requirements.
Netflix recommends Android 9, iOS 17, and iPadOS 17 or later for the best experience across its games. These are general recommendations, not a guarantee that every game works on every device running those versions.
How to download Netflix games
Android phone or tablet
- Open Netflix and find the Mobile Games row or Games shortcut. Choose a game and tap Get Game. Netflix opens the game’s Google Play listing.
- In Google Play, tap Install. Accept any requested permissions and tap Open when installation finishes.
- Alternatively, open Google Play, search for the game by name, and tap Install. If asked, sign in to Netflix and choose a profile.
- Launch the installed game from Netflix or its icon in your app drawer.
iPhone or iPad
- In Netflix, find the Mobile Games row and choose a game. Tap Get Game or Play Game to open its App Store listing.
- In the App Store, tap Get or the cloud-download icon. You can also search for the game directly in the App Store and download it there.
- Open the game after installation. If prompted, sign in to Netflix and select a profile.
- Launch it later from Netflix’s Mobile Games row or from the game icon on your Home Screen.
Why a Netflix game may be missing or refuse to install
- The games section is missing: Update the Netflix app, then check again for the Mobile Games row or Games shortcut.
- The game is not listed for your profile: A profile’s maturity setting may be below the game’s rating. A title may also be unavailable because the device is incompatible.
- The download cannot proceed: Check that the device has an internet connection and enough available storage. There is no universal free-space amount for all games.
- Your device may not meet the title’s requirements: Open that game’s Netflix support page and check its specific compatibility details. General OS recommendations do not override a game’s own requirements.
How to delete a Netflix game
Netflix games are separate apps. Netflix is a way to discover and launch them, but it is not where you uninstall them on Android.

Android
- Open Google Play and search for the game.
- Open its store listing and tap Uninstall.
- Confirm if Google Play asks you to.
iPhone or iPad
- Touch and hold the game’s icon on the Home Screen.
- Tap Remove App, then choose Delete App.
- Confirm Delete.
Check saved progress before uninstalling
Save behavior depends on the game. Some titles store progress in the cloud and associate it with your Netflix profile; others keep it locally on the device. For a game without cloud saves, uninstalling it, clearing its app data, or deleting its Netflix profile may permanently erase progress.
Before removing a game, check its Netflix support page for cloud-save information. If the page does not establish that your progress is backed up, treat it as potentially local and at risk when you uninstall.

How to free up space or troubleshoot performance
Netflix advises checking your device’s available storage and removing apps, pictures, or videos you no longer need. Do not assume that clearing a game’s data is the same as clearing its cache: deleting data can remove local-only progress.

Clear a game’s cache on Android
- Open Settings > Apps > App Info > [game] > Storage. Labels and menu locations can vary by Android device.
- Tap Clear cache—not Clear data.
- Restart the game and check whether the performance issue has improved.
