Download Stardew Valley on macOS
- Install or open Steam on the Mac you plan to use.
- Find the official Stardew Valley listing.

Download Stardew Valley on Android

- Tap Install, then open the game after the download finishes.
The official Google Play listing describes touchscreen controls, a virtual joystick, support for an external controller and autosave. It also states that the app has no in-app purchases. The displayed price and Play Pass availability may differ by country and can change, so check Google Play rather than relying on a fixed price quoted elsewhere.
Use Google Play rather than downloading an APK from a third-party website. An APK mirror may be modified, outdated or unsafe, and it is not the verified distribution route for this game.
Download Stardew Valley on iPhone and iPad
- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.

Do not confuse the standard app with Stardew Valley+
Apple Arcade also has an edition called Stardew Valley+. It is a separate edition from the standard App Store listing and should not be assumed to have identical features or purchase terms. In particular, the developer’s mobile multiplayer guidance says that the experimental mobile multiplayer feature is not available in Stardew Valley+.

Which version should you choose?
- Choose Windows, macOS or Linux if you want the conventional PC version and the most established multiplayer experience.
- Choose Android if you want to play on a compatible phone or tablet and prefer touchscreen, virtual-joystick or external-controller options.
- Choose the standard iPhone/iPad app if you play on Apple mobile hardware and do not specifically want the Apple Arcade Stardew Valley+ edition.
- Check the storefront before buying if you expect a purchase on one platform to unlock the game on another. The verified store information does not establish a universal cross-buy entitlement between PC, Android and iOS.
Version and 1.6 update information
ConcernedApe announced that the mobile and console ports of the 1.6 update would release on November 4, 2024, as version 1.6.9. The official 1.6 changelog includes additions such as the Meadowlands Farm, new festivals, mastery, new crops and new items, as well as PC multiplayer improvements.
The researched platform status records PC, Android and iOS as equivalent to version 1.6.15, with experimental multiplayer on mobile. Treat that as the latest researched status rather than a permanent promise: stores may deliver updates at different times, and patch availability can vary by platform and region. The version number shown in your installed game or storefront is the most reliable check for your device.
Multiplayer: PC is different from mobile
PC multiplayer
The official 1.6 changelog says PC multiplayer supports up to eight players. PC co-op is the established version of multiplayer described in the game’s PC update information.
Android and iOS multiplayer
The standard mobile store descriptions emphasize single-player play and historically state that multiplayer is not supported. Separately, ConcernedApe’s mobile multiplayer guide documents a hidden, experimental multiplayer feature for Android and iOS. It is not presented as a normal, fully supported store feature.
The mobile feature works by connecting players through an IP address rather than through automatic farm discovery. The developer recommends a local network as the best-case setup and warns that hosting over a cellular network or from a low-performance phone can cause connection problems. Mobile players should not expect seamless matchmaking or automatic cross-platform co-op.
The guide also recommends backing up important saves before testing experimental mobile multiplayer. Stardew Valley+ is excluded from this feature.
Stay safe when downloading Stardew Valley
- Use Steam for the verified PC route and select the SteamOS/Linux build when appropriate.
- Use Google Play for Android and verify that ConcernedApe is the developer.

It is a separate physical product, not a way to download or unlock the game.

The game will not install on Windows
First confirm that the Steam client can run on your Windows version. The game’s legacy listing may mention Windows Vista or later, but Steam’s current client requirement is Windows 10 or later. Then check available storage, restart Steam and try the installation again.
The game runs poorly on an older computer
Compare the machine with the published processor, memory, graphics and storage requirements. Meeting a minimum requirement is not a performance guarantee, and graphics drivers or an unsupported operating system can still cause problems. A third-party PC optimizer is not required to download or play Stardew Valley; troubleshoot the operating system, storefront installation and drivers first.

The Android or iOS listing is missing
Check the store region, device compatibility and exact developer name. On iOS, also distinguish the standard Stardew Valley app from Stardew Valley+. On Android, use Google Play rather than searching for an APK outside the store.

Remember that mobile multiplayer is experimental. Try the developer’s recommended local-network setup, use the IP-address connection method described in the official mobile guide and avoid relying on cellular hosting. Back up important saves before testing the feature.
