You can earn Helldivers 2 Super Credits without paying by using two supported routes: collect them while investigating points of interest (POIs) during missions, and claim them from Warbond progression rewards. Begin with the free Helldivers Mobilize Warbond. Arrowhead says that completing the free catalog is balanced to provide enough Super Credits for one Warbond, but that is a published balance goal rather than a guaranteed current payout or a promised completion time. Mission rewards are also variable, so there is no reliable universal credits-per-hour figure.
Understand the two currencies before you start
Super Credits and medals are used for different jobs. Super Credits unlock a Premium Warbond. Medals are earned through normal play and then spent on individual weapons, armor, cosmetics, boosters, and Super Credit nodes inside a Warbond you already own.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
That distinction determines the most efficient no-spend routine. You do not need to buy medals, and medals cannot be substituted for the Super Credits required to open a catalog. Your regular missions supply medals for progression, while POI exploration and Warbond reward tracks supply the Super Credits needed for an unlock.

The two legitimate ways to earn Super Credits
| Route | How it works | What is predictable | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warbond progression | Earn medals in ordinary play, spend them in a Warbond, and claim Super Credit rewards placed along its pages. | Rewards are shown in the catalog before you spend medals. | You must earn enough medals and advance through the catalog; Arrowhead’s free-Warbond statement is a balance intent, not a guaranteed present-day total. |
| Mission exploration | Deploy to a level, investigate its points of interest, and collect any Super Credit pickups you find. | You can keep playing additional levels after a level’s available finds are collected. | The amount at each POI varies, and each level has a finite amount available. No fixed amount per mission is promised. |
These are the earning methods described by Arrowhead. A guide that promises a universal mission payout, a fixed hourly rate, or a guaranteed fastest difficulty is claiming more than the official information establishes.
Start with the free Helldivers Mobilize Warbond
The free starting catalog should be your first destination because its rewards let a new player build toward a Premium Warbond without an initial purchase. Arrowhead’s January 30, 2024 announcement and its February 2, 2024 FAQ describe the free Warbond as balanced to provide enough Super Credits for one Warbond when completed. “Enough” is a design target, not a promise that every account will receive a particular number after a particular number of hours. Catalog contents and balance can change in a live game.
Arrowhead described Warbonds as a kind of “treasure chest full of toys,” and said earlier Warbonds would not be retired when new ones arrived. That makes the free catalog a practical starting point rather than a temporary launch promotion.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →- Open the Warbonds or Acquisitions screen. Select the free Helldivers Mobilize catalog rather than spending credits immediately on a Premium option.
- Earn medals through normal missions. Complete objectives and operations, and finish the missions you start. These activities award the medals required to move through the catalog.
- Advance page by page. Spend medals on the rewards required to unlock later pages. Super Credit rewards are part of the catalog, so check each page before choosing your next purchase.
- Claim every Super Credit node you reach. A node is not useful toward a future Warbond until you actually collect it in the catalog interface.
- Keep your balance unspent until you choose a target. Once the free catalog has supplied enough, you can unlock the Premium Warbond you actually want instead of opening the first one you happen to see.
Progression is not a separate farming activity. You earn the medals for it by playing the game normally, then convert those medals into catalog rewards. Exploring POIs during the same missions adds the second source of Super Credits without requiring a different mode.
Collect Super Credits from mission points of interest
Super Credit pickups are found by exploring mission areas rather than by completing only the primary objective. The official FAQ says the amount available in a level is finite and that the amount at an individual POI varies. Consequently, one mission may produce a different result from another, and two POIs in the same level need not contain the same amount.
Before you launch
- Choose a mission you can complete safely. A longer or harder operation is not documented as having a better Super Credit payout.
- Leave enough time to search. If your squad always rushes the main objective, it can pass POIs without checking them.
- Agree on a search plan with the squad so that players do not split recklessly or abandon the extraction window.
- Keep your intended Warbond in mind, but do not treat a displayed price as proof of a particular number of missions. Prices and catalog contents can change.
During the mission
- Open the tactical map after deployment. Use it to orient yourself and identify side areas away from the main objective.
- Move toward points of interest. Investigate structures, sites, and other marked or discoverable locations instead of treating them as optional scenery.
- Search the entire location. A POI can require entering a building, opening a container, activating a console, or checking the surrounding ground. Do not leave after seeing only the first interactable object.
- Pick up any Super Credits you find. The pickup itself is the relevant action; medals and other loot are separate rewards.
- Keep the squad together when practical. A shared route reduces missed locations and makes it easier to defend a player interacting with a site. This is a safety and coordination suggestion, not a special credit multiplier.
- Continue only while the risk is acceptable. A squad wipe or failed extraction can erase the practical value of a long detour, so keep the primary objective and evacuation in view.
The map is a navigation aid, not a promise that every marked location contains credits. Treat each POI as a search opportunity and be prepared to find medals, samples, or nothing relevant to your balance.
After a level’s finds are gone
Arrowhead describes the available credits in each level as finite. Once your squad has searched that level’s POIs, playing more levels is the way to continue earning. Do not assume that loading the identical completed map immediately reproduces the same pickups. The official information supports repeating play across levels, not a guaranteed reset of a particular location’s credit cache.

Because POI amounts vary, record-keeping is useful only for your own planning. A personal tally can tell you how much you still need for a chosen Warbond, but it cannot establish a universal rate for other players or difficulties.
Compare the routes by effort and predictability
| Question | Warbond progression | Mission exploration |
|---|---|---|
| What do you do? | Earn medals, buy catalog rewards, and advance to Super Credit nodes. | Search POIs during deployed missions and collect available pickups. |
| How repeatable is it? | You can keep earning medals through ordinary missions and continue through the catalog. | You can play more levels, but each level has a finite credit pool. |
| How predictable is the payout? | The catalog shows which Super Credit rewards are on its pages, although reaching them requires medals. | POI amounts vary, and the game does not promise a fixed total per level. |
| What is the main cost? | Time spent earning medals and the medals spent on required catalog rewards. | Time spent searching, plus the danger of delaying the objective or extraction. |
Neither route can be declared universally faster from the official statements. A player who already has medals may see catalog progression as more predictable, while a player who is already exploring every side area can collect credits with no separate farming session. Use both whenever the mission and squad situation make that sensible.
Use both routes in one progression loop
The two methods complement each other. Warbond progression is planned: the catalog displays its rewards, and medals earned from missions let you advance toward known Super Credit nodes. POI exploration is repeatable across levels but variable: it can add credits during the same missions that generate medals, yet the amount is not predictable in advance.
- Deploy into a mission with a clear primary-objective plan.
- Complete objectives and operations to earn medals.
- Search practical POIs on the route, collecting any Super Credits they contain.
- Extract when the squad’s risk is no longer justified.
- Spend the medals in Helldivers Mobilize and claim its Super Credit rewards.
- Check your total and keep saving until the Premium Warbond you want is affordable.
This loop avoids a false choice between “farming” and progression. You are advancing the free catalog while collecting whatever the current level happens to offer. Neither route should be described as universally faster on the available evidence.

Save for the Warbond you actually want
Warbonds are not presented as limited-time tracks that expire at the end of a season. PlayStation’s beginner guidance says unlocked pages do not expire, and its current updates information describes Warbonds as non-time-limited. Arrowhead likewise said in January 2024, “We will not retire earlier Warbonds as new ones are released – you can pick them up and complete them at any time!”
That policy removes the need to spend as soon as you reach the first threshold. Keep earning, compare the reward pages available in your game, and unlock the catalog whose weapons, armor, boosters, or cosmetics fit your play style. You can work through more than one active Warbond over time, but each Premium catalog still requires its own Super Credit unlock.
Before unlocking, inspect the catalog in your current game client. A catalog may contain a weapon or armor combination you value more than a newer release, and a no-spend player has a strong reason to avoid an impulse purchase. The ability to wait is part of the value of a non-time-limited Warbond.

What the listed prices mean
PlayStation’s currently retrieved Helldivers 2 information gives examples of 1,000 Super Credits for a Premium Warbond and 1,500 Super Credits for one Legendary Warbond. Those are product prices shown on that page, not an earning statistic, and they can change with catalog or regional updates. A no-spend plan should therefore treat them as thresholds to check in your own game, not as permanent prices or as evidence of how quickly you can earn.
| Figure | How to interpret it |
|---|---|
| 1,000 Super Credits | An example Premium Warbond price listed by PlayStation’s current information; verify the price and catalog in your region before planning. |
| 1,500 Super Credits | An example Legendary Warbond price listed by the same information; it is not a guaranteed no-spend earning target for every catalog. |
What has not been established
There is no dependable official number for Super Credits per hour, per operation, or per difficulty in the information available for this guide. The FAQ says that each level has a finite amount and that POI payouts vary, which rules out treating a single run as a standard benchmark.
- No guaranteed Super Credit amount per mission.
- No verified average credits-per-hour rate.
- No official proof that one difficulty is always the fastest for credits.
- No assurance that repeating one exact map immediately refreshes its previous pickups.
- No promise that every POI contains Super Credits.
- No basis for converting a community route into a guaranteed result for every squad.
Community spreadsheets and videos may describe individual routes, but their results depend on map generation, squad speed, patches, and what each player counts as a successful run. Use them as personal ideas only, not as guaranteed outcomes.
Play normally and avoid exploit claims
Arrowhead’s official guidance describes ordinary exploration and looting as the supported way to find mission credits. A July 12, 2026 report from PC Gamer said Arrowhead had introduced monitoring and countermeasures for suspiciously high Super Credit activity while characterizing normal map exploration and looting as unaffected.
That distinction matters. Searching POIs, completing missions, and progressing through Warbonds are normal play. Instructions that rely on duplicated pickups, manipulated sessions, abnormal account activity, or a promise of “guaranteed fast” credits are outside the documented routes and can carry account or progression risk. You do not need an exploit to follow the no-spend plan.

“I searched a mission and found no credits.”
A level has a finite pool, and not every POI necessarily contains Super Credits. Search additional POIs on another level rather than assuming every location pays out.
“I earned medals but my Super Credit total did not rise.”
Medals and Super Credits are separate currencies. Spend the medals in the Warbond catalog and claim the Super Credit rewards shown there; medal earnings alone do not convert automatically into credits.

“I cannot find the free Warbond.”
Open the game’s Warbonds or Acquisitions area and look for Helldivers Mobilize, the free starting catalog identified in Arrowhead’s January 30, 2024 announcement. Menus and labels can change, so use the catalog marked as free in your current client rather than relying on an old screenshot.
“I completed the free Warbond but cannot buy the catalog I want.”
Arrowhead’s statement is a balance intention, not a guarantee that every current catalog or account will match an exact threshold. Check that every reachable Super Credit reward was claimed, add credits from further mission exploration, and verify the current unlock cost displayed in your game.

“Should I buy the first Premium Warbond as soon as I can?”
No. Since Warbond pages are described as non-expiring, you can keep the balance and decide after reviewing the available reward pages. Spending early is a preference, not a requirement to preserve access.
“Can I earn credits while playing with friends?”
Yes. The supported method is ordinary mission play, so a squad can investigate POIs while completing its objectives. Coordinate the route and extraction rather than splitting so far that the search creates unnecessary failure risk.
“Is a higher difficulty automatically better for credits?”
The available official information does not establish that rule. Choose a level your squad can search and finish consistently; an unverified difficulty claim should not replace reliable completion and exploration.
“Do Warbonds expire if I wait?”
PlayStation describes Warbonds as non-time-limited, and its beginner guidance says unlocked pages do not expire. Arrowhead also said earlier Warbonds would remain available. Check the current in-game catalog, but there is no documented need to rush a purchase because of a season timer.
“Does repeating the same mission restore the credits I already picked up?”
Do not assume that it does. The FAQ supports continuing by playing more levels after a level’s finite finds are collected; it does not promise an immediate reset of one completed map’s credit cache.

A no-spend checklist
- Open the free Helldivers Mobilize Warbond first.
- Earn medals through missions, objectives, and operations.
- Advance through the catalog and claim every Super Credit reward you reach.
- Open the mission map and investigate POIs instead of rushing only the primary objective.
- Remember that each level’s available credits are finite and each POI’s amount can vary.
- Play additional levels when one level’s finds are exhausted.
- Save your balance for the Premium Warbond you actually want.
- Check the current in-game price because catalog costs can change.
- Do not treat 1,000 or 1,500 Super Credits as permanent prices or earning guarantees.
- Ignore exploit-based promises and unsupported credits-per-hour claims.
Following those steps gives you the complete supported path to Premium Warbonds without spending money: progress through the free catalog, search POIs during normal missions, and save the resulting Super Credits until you are ready to unlock a non-expiring Warbond.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the fastest free way to get Super Credits in Helldivers 2?
There is no officially verified fastest difficulty, mission, or credits-per-hour rate. The supported choices are collecting Super Credits at mission POIs and claiming them from Warbond progression, beginning with the free Helldivers Mobilize catalog.
How many Super Credits does the free Warbond give?
Arrowhead says the free starting Warbond is balanced to provide enough Super Credits for one Warbond when completed. That is a published balance intent, not a guaranteed current total or a promised number of hours.
Do all points of interest contain Super Credits?
No fixed rule is promised. The official FAQ says the amount at each POI varies and that each level has a finite amount available, so a searched location may contain another reward or no Super Credits.
Can I earn Super Credits without buying a Premium Warbond first?
Yes. Play the free Helldivers Mobilize Warbond for its Super Credit nodes and explore POIs during ordinary missions. You can save those credits for a Premium catalog.
What is the difference between medals and Super Credits?
Medals are earned through missions, objectives, and operations and buy individual Warbond rewards. Super Credits unlock the Warbond itself and can also be found at mission POIs.
Do Helldivers 2 Warbonds expire?
PlayStation describes them as non-time-limited, and unlocked pages do not expire. Arrowhead also said earlier Warbonds would remain available, so you can save credits and choose later.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteWill replaying the same map give me the same credits again?
Do not rely on that assumption. The official guidance says each level has a finite amount and recommends playing more levels after those finds are collected; it does not promise an immediate reset of one map.
Are 1,000 and 1,500 Super Credits guaranteed prices?
They are example prices listed on PlayStation’s current information for a Premium Warbond and one Legendary Warbond. Catalog, regional, and live-game prices can change, so verify the amount in your client.
The Bottom Line
To earn Premium Warbond access without spending money, play through the free Helldivers Mobilize Warbond, spend mission-earned medals to reach its Super Credit rewards, and search POIs during normal missions. POI payouts vary and each level’s supply is finite, so there is no honest universal farming rate. Save the credits for the catalog you actually want; Warbonds are described as non-time-limited, and exploit-based shortcuts are unnecessary.
