Roblox has a built-in dark theme. On the mobile and desktop apps, open More → Settings → Device preferences → Device level theme → Dark. On the website, use gear icon → Settings → Browser preferences → Theme → Dark. The choice applies only to the device or browser where you set it.

How to turn on dark mode in the Roblox mobile app
- Sign in to Roblox on your iPhone, iPad or Android device.
- Open More.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Device preferences.
- Under Device level theme, select Dark.
Select System if Roblox should follow your phone or tablet’s operating-system theme. Select Light to restore the light appearance.
How to enable dark mode in the Roblox desktop app
- Sign in through the Roblox app for Windows or macOS.
- In the left navigation panel, click More, shown as three dots.
- Select Settings.
- Open Device preferences.
- Open the Device level theme dropdown.
- Choose Dark. You can instead choose System or Light.
How to get dark mode on the Roblox website
- Sign in at Roblox in your browser.
- Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Open Browser preferences.
- Find Theme.
- Select Dark. System follows the browser or device theme, while Light returns to the light interface.
Dark mode on Xbox, PlayStation and VR
Roblox Support says consoles currently support Dark mode only. Roblox also currently supports only Dark mode in VR. Unlike the mobile and desktop apps and the website, these platforms do not offer Light or System choices in the stated Roblox settings.
Why you cannot find the theme option
You are following an older guide
Roblox previously placed the theme control under Settings → Account Info. A September 27, 2019 Roblox newsroom announcement described that older location. The current layout moves app controls to Device preferences and the website control to Browser preferences, so older screenshots may not match your menus.

You are in the wrong Roblox version
Use Device preferences in the installed mobile or desktop app. Use Browser preferences when you are playing through a web browser. The labels are different because the setting is managed separately for the app and the browser.
You changed another device
Roblox says the theme setting changes the appearance only on the device currently being used. Setting Dark on your phone does not automatically change the desktop app or a browser on another device; configure each one separately.

The setting is limited on your platform
Console and VR support Dark mode only. If you are looking for System or Light there, those choices are not currently offered.
How to switch back to light mode or follow your system theme
On mobile and desktop apps, return to Settings → Device preferences → Device level theme. On the website, return to Settings → Browser preferences → Theme. Choose Light for the light interface or System to follow the current phone, computer or browser theme. These options are available where Roblox offers all three themes; console and VR currently remain Dark-only.

Is Roblox dark mode free?
Yes. Dark mode is a built-in Roblox preference and does not require a purchase, subscription or separate software. Enable it from the relevant Roblox settings menu for the platform you are using.
