How to apply for the Sony Store Japan PS5 Pro lottery
- Go to Sony’s official PS5 Pro purchase-application page and select the purchase-application form.
- Sign in with the Sony account you intend to use for the application. Sony checks eligibility against that account.
- Submit the application by October 7, 2026, at 23:59 Japan time. The application period and schedule may change, so confirm the official page is still accepting entries.
- Keep the email address registered to the account current and able to receive messages from
@email.playstation.com. Sony warns that carrier email addresses and iCloud may have delivery problems. After applying, you can link your Sony and LINE accounts to receive the result through LINE as well.
Who is eligible?
The account used to apply must be registered in Japan and used for PlayStation online services. It must also show at least 60 total hours of gameplay on PS4, PS5, or both between September 27, 2024 and September 27, 2026, at 23:59. The hours are combined across PS4 and PS5; they are not 60 hours on each console. Sony checks qualifications after applications close, and an individual account’s status cannot be confirmed from public information.
How Sony selects applicants and when results arrive
Sony says it will use a lottery if qualified applications exceed the planned stock. The official page does not state the stock quantity, number of eligible applicants, or selection odds, so there is no reliable basis for estimating an applicant’s chances. Sony expects to email results around October 26, 2026, to the address on the Sony account. Applicants who linked their accounts after applying may also receive the result through LINE.
