Evaluate Jordan Addison the same way you would any fantasy wide receiver: start with opportunity, separate volume from efficiency, account for touchdowns and availability, then compare projected value with your league’s scoring and acquisition cost. Addison’s 2026 line through three games is a small sample—not a dependable full-season forecast—so use it as a snapshot and check the current team context before setting a lineup or making a trade.

Start with your league and the decision you need to make

A player’s value depends on what you are deciding. Drafting, trading, placing a waiver claim, and choosing a weekly starter call for different time horizons. Redraft and dynasty leagues also reward different things: immediate production matters most in redraft, while age and longer-term role matter more in dynasty.

Use your league’s actual scoring and lineup settings. In standard scoring, receptions do not earn points; in half-PPR and PPR, they add value, with the exact amount set by the league. A catch-heavy receiver can therefore gain relative value in PPR, while yardage and touchdowns may matter more in standard. The deeper the starting lineup, the more useful reliable weekly production can be compared with a high-variance option.

What Addison’s statistics show—and what they do not

NFL.com’s regular-season receiving totals show three distinct seasons: 70 catches, 911 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns in 17 games in 2023; 63 catches, 875 yards and nine receiving touchdowns in 15 games in 2024; and 42 catches, 610 yards and three receiving touchdowns in 14 games in 2025. The 2025 season total should be read alongside availability: NFL Fantasy lists 79 targets, and its player card notes a three-game suspension to start that season. NFL.com’s career stats and NFL Fantasy’s player card provide the source lines and context.

For 2026, NFL.com’s career page, checked October 4, lists seven receptions, 111 yards and one receiving touchdown through three games. Pro Football Focus’s player summary, last updated October 3, reports 16 targets, seven catches, 111 yards, 17 yards after catch, one drop and a 15.4-yard average depth of target for the season snapshot. PFF’s figures are provider-specific and may differ in update timing or definitions from other stat pages; compare like-for-like windows rather than mixing feeds. PFF’s player summary labels its advanced fields and grades.

The early 2026 sample is too short to establish a stable target rate, efficiency level or touchdown pace. In that snapshot, 15.4 yards of average depth of target and 15.9 yards per reception describe downfield usage and production, not a forecast. Average depth of target is not the same as air yards on completed passes.

Assess opportunity before judging results

Targets are the clearest starting point because they represent chances to earn catches and yards. Then check role: routes run, snap participation, target share, and looks near the goal line can help explain whether a player’s production is repeatable. Target quality and the team’s passing environment matter too; a large target count is not automatically valuable if the throws are difficult or the offense creates few scoring chances.

The available Addison figures establish 16 targets in PFF’s three-game 2026 snapshot and 79 targets in the 2025 NFL Fantasy card. They do not establish his current target share, route participation, snap rate or red-zone target rate. Do not infer those from his catch totals. Before making a current start, trade or waiver decision, check the Vikings’ latest depth chart, practice and injury report, active status, starting quarterback and recent target distribution.

Separate volume, efficiency and touchdowns

Volume and receiving efficiency

For Addison or another receiver, compare targets and catches with receiving yards, catch rate, yards per target, yards per reception, yards after catch and average depth of target. Use the same source, definitions and time window for every player. Catch rate is only comparable when both the catch and target totals refer to the same span and provider.

PFF’s early-2026 snapshot reports one drop and 17 yards after catch for Addison. Those details help describe that sample, but they do not override the small sample size. Look for sustained opportunity and production across a meaningful stretch before treating a rate as a dependable skill indicator.

Touchdowns

Addison’s receiving touchdowns declined from 10 in 2023 to nine in 2024 and three in 2025. Touchdowns can swing fantasy results, but season totals alone do not explain whether a change came from opportunity, availability, team scoring or variance. Consider touchdowns alongside targets, yardage and goal-line opportunities; the figures available here do not include enough end-zone detail to predict a rebound.

Compare Addison with other receivers on the same basis

Build a like-for-like comparison for your format and decision. A useful checklist is:

Do not turn one provider’s grade into a universal fantasy ranking. PFF’s 2026 summary gives Addison an overall grade of 59.3, 70th among 85 qualified wide receivers, and a receiving grade of 60.7, 65th among 85. Those are PFF metrics, not fantasy points or an objective cross-provider ranking. Use them as one provider’s evaluation, alongside opportunity and format-adjusted projections.

Use rankings and draft cost with a date attached

FanDuel Research’s 2026 outlook reported Addison at WR42 by average draft position entering the season and listed him as WR43 in fantasy points for 2025, with 93.1 points. These are dated FanDuel figures, not current universal market consensus or a live ranking. FanDuel Research’s 2026 outlook is useful historical context, but preseason ADP should not be carried forward as current ADP.

Before drafting, trading or starting him, compare the latest available projections and market cost for your league settings. The figures above do not support a current overall rank or a specific draft-round recommendation. For a weekly decision, prioritize the current role, health and matchup-relevant opportunity over stale preseason placement.

How to make a practical call

  1. Set the frame: identify scoring, lineup depth, league type and whether the decision is a draft, trade, waiver claim or start.
  2. Check availability and role: verify active status, injury or suspension news, quarterback and current target competition.
  3. Measure opportunity: compare targets and, when reliably sourced, route and snap participation and scoring-area looks.
  4. Read production in context: separate catches and yards from efficiency and touchdowns; use equivalent samples across players.
  5. Compare value: weigh format-adjusted expected points and role security against ceiling, downside and acquisition cost.

For Addison, the 2023–25 record demonstrates meaningful receiving production, while the available 2026 line covers only three games. That is enough to describe the snapshot, but not to settle his current target hierarchy or forecast a season-long finish. Make the final call using refreshed team information and projections matched to your league.
