Make Charcadet your Buddy, then defeat 30 Psychic-type Pokémon to unlock Armarouge or 30 Ghost-type Pokémon to unlock Ceruledge. Charcadet does not need to land the final blow. The game database lists a 50-Candy cost for either evolution; check the evolve screen in Pokémon GO before spending.

How to evolve Charcadet
- Choose the Charcadet you want to evolve and set it as your Buddy Pokémon.
- For Armarouge, defeat 30 Psychic-type Pokémon while Charcadet is your Buddy.
- For Ceruledge, defeat 30 Ghost-type Pokémon while Charcadet is your Buddy.
- Open Charcadet’s evolve screen. Confirm which evolution is available and check the Candy cost shown there, then evolve when ready.

How much Candy does Charcadet need?

Which evolution should you choose?
Choose based on the branch you want for your Pokédex or which Pokémon you prefer: Psychic-type defeats unlock Armarouge, while Ghost-type defeats unlock Ceruledge. The available information does not establish one as universally better than the other.
