There is no officially confirmed, guaranteed Treasure Goblin route in Diablo 4, and Blizzard has not published a standard spawn rate. Hunt during normal play, use Nightmare Dungeons if they fit your endgame progression, and take advantage of a goblin event only when one is actually live. Treat named open-world loops and old infinite-spawn videos as unverified or outdated—not dependable farms.
Where do Treasure Goblins spawn?
The official sources reviewed do not identify fixed, always-on spawn locations or publish a normal spawn rate. That means a route described online as the best goblin farm should not be treated as a guaranteed method unless it is backed by current evidence.

For ordinary play, keep an eye out as you progress through Sanctuary rather than detouring to a supposed permanent spawn point. If you want to test a community route, regard it as an experiment: spawns and results may vary, and the route has not been established as optimal.

How to use War Plans for a Nightmare Dungeon run
War Plans are an endgame system for chaining selected activities, including Nightmare Dungeons, Helltides, the Undercity, Lair Bosses, Infernal Hordes, and the Pit. Activity trees let players customize those chains. The system is useful for structuring endgame play, but Blizzard’s overview does not claim that War Plans produce a particular number of goblins.

These access requirements and activity options are described in Blizzard’s War Plans overview. The available official material does not establish Treasure Breach’s current drop behavior or a comparative farming rate.
What changes during a goblin event?
Events can temporarily make goblin hunting more rewarding, so verify that one is active before planning around event bonuses. Blizzard’s March 2025 March of the Goblins announcement described increased chances of larger goblin packs, Greed Shrines, and additional goblins around Avarice. It also described a temporary reputation track that improved the chance of Treasure Bags. Those were event features, not permanent spawn rules, and the announcement did not quantify their rates.

Blizzard also published a separate Goblin Greedings announcement describing a limited event, a reputation board that improved loot-laden bags as tiers were unlocked, and a bonus Gift of the Tree cache for returning Grim Favors while the event was live. The opened announcement does not state the year alongside its December 18–January 6 dates, so those dates should not be treated as a current schedule.
Do not assume the March 2025 event’s six goblin variants or their rewards remain unchanged in October 2026: the official material reviewed does not confirm their current status or reward table. Use the live event announcement and in-game notices for the bonuses that actually apply.

Are old infinite-spawn farms still reliable?
No. Blizzard’s 3.0 patch notes document a fix for an infinite Goblin spawn issue involving a War Plan node, as well as a fix preventing repeated activation of the Greed is Good portal in one Nightmare Dungeon instance. The notes also describe a Path of Coin portal issue that could leave players inescapably stuck after teleporting away and back. Do not rely on pre-fix exploit videos as current farming instructions. A practical approach
- During routine play, pursue goblins when you encounter them instead of relying on an unverified permanent route.
- If you are eligible for War Plans and already want to run endgame content, choose Nightmare Dungeon activities for progression; do not assume they have a documented goblin advantage.
- Check Blizzard announcements and the in-game event UI before changing plans for a limited-time goblin event.
- When an event is live, use its stated bonuses. You can test community-suggested areas such as Restless Canopy and Five Hills, but track your own results rather than assuming the route is optimal.
- Ignore claims based on infinite-spawn or repeat-portal exploits that Blizzard has patched.
