In NBA 2K26, check the uniform-selection screen for the mode you are playing and look through the available alternate uniforms for your team. There is no verified universal menu path for City Edition jerseys, and their availability is not confirmed for every mode or platform. A physical Nike or NBA Store jersey is merchandise; buying one does not unlock an in-game uniform.
What NBA City Edition jerseys represent
City Edition uniforms are seasonal team designs that draw on a franchise’s identity and its city or region. The NBA’s 2025–26 announcement describes designs that revisit earlier looks while giving teams updated treatments. Stories differ by team and season, so consult the current season’s team-specific explanation rather than assuming an older design story still applies.
The NBA also maintains a City Edition archive with earlier design stories, including designs from past seasons.
How to look for a City Edition uniform in NBA 2K26
NBA 2K26’s official mode overview identifies MyNBA/MyGM, MyCAREER, MyTEAM and The City, but does not document a City Edition selection path or confirm that the uniform is selectable in each mode. Treat the uniform selector as a place to inspect, not a guaranteed route to the jersey.

- Confirm your game and platform. Make sure you are playing NBA 2K26 and know which platform and version you have. Earlier NBA 2K titles can have different menus and features.
- Open the mode you want to play. The official NBA 2K26 mode breakdown covers the game’s modes, but does not say which ones include City Edition uniforms.
- Inspect that mode’s pre-game uniform selector. Look through the selected team’s alternate or other available uniforms. This is general guidance, not a verified NBA 2K26 menu path; labels and options may differ by mode and platform.
- If the uniform is missing, update the game and check current 2K support guidance for your platform and mode. These checks do not guarantee that a particular uniform is available.
What earlier NBA 2K games tell you—and what they do not
An official NBA 2K video from 2020 shows City jerseys in Play Now, MyNBA and Franchise in NBA 2K21. That is useful historical context, but it does not establish availability or navigation in NBA 2K26.
Platform and mode limits to check
2K states that The City and MyNBA are available only on Gen 9 versions of NBA 2K26. Its The City announcement names PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2 in connection with The City, and notes that some online or bonus features can require an internet connection, downloads, online play or account registration. Check the requirements for your specific platform and edition; those statements do not establish that a City Edition uniform is present in every mode.

In-game uniforms versus physical jerseys
A virtual uniform is an in-game item; a licensed jersey is clothing. The NBA’s season announcement links to NBA Store merchandise, while Nike’s U.S. City Edition jersey catalog lists physical jerseys by team, player and product type. Neither retail source says that purchasing apparel grants a virtual uniform in NBA 2K26.
If you want to wear the design, compare the specific team and player, season or design, jersey style, fit and size, seller, and current stock. Nike lists City Edition Swingman and Authentic jersey types in its catalog, but assortment, availability and prices can change. Check the live listing for details before ordering.

Using a City Edition look in your own branding
If you mean team branding rather than equipping a jersey, use the in-game logos, uniforms and customization options the mode actually provides. NBA 2K26’s mode overview does not specify City Edition branding tools or permissions in each mode, so do not assume a uniform can be copied into a custom design or carried between modes.
