The term can also mean the game’s broader collectible hunt; those 67 reported collectible locations are a separate completion list, not equipment artifacts.
How artifact recipes and crafting work
Most artifacts are not picked up as finished equipment. First obtain an Untapped Artifact recipe, then gather its listed materials and Source and craft it at the Artifact Formation station in The Gap. The station displays the artifact’s effect and material requirements; crafting consumes the Untapped Artifact. Reported recipe sources include pre-order or Deluxe Edition bonuses, main and side missions, zone vendors, zone leveling and main Resonant bosses. These mechanics and item details are reported by a secondary guide, not an official Remedy artifact catalog. AllThings. How’s artifact guide was updated September 25, 2026.
- A first playthrough has three artifact slots; New Game Plus adds a fourth.
- Artifacts carry into the new run, but you cannot equip two artifacts from the same family at once.
- Unwanted crafted artifacts can be recycled at the station to recover materials.
Where to get every reported artifact
The table reproduces the 35 named entries in the reviewed guide. Effects and acquisition routes are guide-reported rather than individually confirmed by Remedy. “TBA” means the guide had not pinned down the source as of September 25, 2026; treat that route as unresolved and check in-game or against a newer guide.

Choosing artifacts for your build
The guide groups artifacts into Survival (health and recovery), Combat (damage and Falter), Exploration (helpers such as marking crates) and Special (large trade-offs). With limited slots and same-family restrictions, compare each item by the situation it addresses rather than treating a larger percentage as automatically better.

- For survivability, look at recovery triggers and caps: some effects require a Shield break, Shift, being outside combat or a nearby summoned ally; others trade away maximum Health or increase incoming damage.
- For damage, identify the affected attack type, enemy type or status condition. A mold bonus, Heavy-enemy Falter bonus or airborne-attack Power gain will not help equally in every encounter.
- For high-risk effects, weigh both sides of the trade-off. For example, the reported Ornate Buckle and Bout Guard pair strong recovery benefits with increased damage taken, while the Molding Bar caps Health at 50%.
- For exploration, the Novelty Magnet’s reported radar marking can help locate nearby small crates, while Catnip Toy is specifically reported to reduce void fall damage.
If you meant every collectible, not equipment artifacts
PowerPyx’s September 28, 2026 completion guide lists 67 collectible locations in separate categories. It says these are not missable and can be collected in post-story free roam. Its totals are guide-reported, not an independently audited count. See PowerPyx’s collectible locations guide for the location-by-location sweep.

PowerPyx recommends waiting until traversal abilities are unlocked. Its listed gates include Shift for wall traversal, Reach for grappling points, Ground Slam for ability barriers, and Ignite or Inferno for webs. Full exploration of The Unknown also requires the Pope’s Research side quest. To reduce backtracking, it recommends sweeping regions in this order: Downtown, Central, West Incursion Zone, Evacuation Zone, The Park, Underpass and The Unknown. Fast travel requires interacting with Fast Travel Doors rather than activating it from anywhere.
